My husband was a bit older than I but still, never assume good health means you can't get sick. My husband died after being diagnosed with Stage 4 Type B Non Hodgekins Lymphoma. An infection contributed. A life gone so quickly is hard to fathom. I can't express that enough exercise, of the best quality you are able to manage or work up toward, is so important to fighting disease! My husband ate a very healthy diet and walked but maybe a more agressive exercise regimen would have made a difference or clued us to his illness sooner. About me: I am 56 years old and I have always been active. I have a chronic illness and have had active EBV for the past year. My titers are down from last year. Now I know it is absolutely necessary for me to be the healthiest I can be and that means diet, exercise, meditation or prayer, proper sleep and being involved in something meaningful as well as having some really great friends and family connections. I love to swim! I love to lap swim with music! I like to mix working out up! I have always had to work to stay at the best weight for me. I am now almost 20 lbs over that weight so I have many new goals! The program which works best for me is P90X. Because of my illness I will have to use the step approach to not overdo. That is a bummer when you want to exercise to full exertion! But, I will do this the correct way so I can succeed! Should any of you suffer with CFS/ME/FM or Chronic EBV, HHV-6, or CMV, I am here to be your workout buddy or your Coach! I have been ill since 1990 and have made many mistakes so I know what it takes to conquer, win, succeed! I also know the pitfalls which can occur, slow you down, or cause you to have a relapse. DON'T GO THERE! Many doctors don't know exactly how to exercise with these illnesses! I have done many types of exercise and I know from experience how to give excellent advice and help you stay on the right track. PLEASE DON'T GO IT ALONE! Contact me. I want to help others for in doing so, maybe they won't make some of the mistakes I have. I want you to succeed and I want to succeed with you! My email is robinable@aol.com. My twitter address name is robinableSC and I am on Facebook - email me and we cam become friends there. Hey! Never, never, never give up! My Progress My Fitness Goal: Transformation Story

I am starting over again since I first became a member in September. I had a relapse from Chronic Epstein Barr Virus - the same virus which causes mononeucleosis - in February and had to stop working (Real Estate broker.) I thought I was getting better and started working out in September as a new BEACHBODY COACH. I started with 10 Minute Workouts and swimming laps for 20 minutes with resistence gloves and swim fins. As I moved to longer workouts I relapsed again. Remissions are possible with my illness but it is very tricky pulling out of a relapse. I enjoy an emotional high from exercise so it was hard for me to hold back when this made me feel better. I did too much too soon and had to stop exercise. I gained more weight. I visited my doctor's office in November to take a stress test. I did not pass. My lung capacity was a little below normal. Also I showed an endocrine problem. After 7 minutes of hard cycling my body temperature did not rise. I now qualify for disability should I decide to pursue that avenue. I started exercise again right before Christmas. When I get a sore throat it is a signal I have to back off or stop. So I am trying to listen to my body. I am encouraged by all the workout buddies in WOWY! I don't want to miss! There have been several people who seem to sense my struggle and they won't give up on me! This gives me added determination! I may have to bow out of an exercise session I have committed to, but I am finding that sometimes later that day I can get back in WOWY and push PLAY before the day is over. The great Buddies in WOWY are proving to be one of my most important "medicines". I can't say enough about the power of the Buddy System and WOWY! My body has changed shape. I was inactive for so long I lost a lot of muscle. I have stayed away from the scale and I measure. I'm not going to worry about weight. I want my body mass to be healthy; I want muscle. I am only 5'2". I know what I can achieve has to happen one day at a time. Thanks go to all the great people who don't give up on me! All of you are changing my life! You are helping me become more healthy. You are helping me tackle a chronic illness. You are helping me add years to my life!
