I grew up an overweight kid. In the second grade, I just kinda "ballooned" as my mom puts it. She was having to buy me new and bigger clothes twice a month. I ran track and played soccer all through elementary, but that didn't get rid of the weight. In junior high and high school though I became more sedintary and really started to put on the weight. I graduated high school weighing nearly 280 pounds. I started college pretty overweight, and just continued to gain. I probly graduated college weighing 340 pounds. After college, my life just continued to be inactive. I went to work, got home, played video games and went to bed. My eating consisted of pizza, fast food, soda, nachos... all that good stuff heh.
August of 2004 I moved to Alaska. That was probably the best thing I've ever done for myself. I got up here, most everyone in the office was pretty fit, and folks started talking about all this hiking and climbing and fishing and all this stuff that sounded awesome, but you gotta be fit and healthy to do it. In March of 2005, my brother got married. I had no idea what I weighed at the time, I'm guessing 380 to 400 pounds. But he asked me to be the best man. After seeing those pictures from the wedding on top of not being able to enjoy life up here in Alaska, I decided it was time to make some changes. I ordered P90 and began my transformation into the new me.
Today I'm 285 pounds. I joined a gym and enjoying life so much more. Granted I still have a long way till I get my dream body, but hey, I'm well on my way. To date I've lost nearly 80-100 pounds. My fitness journey has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride, and Beachbody has been a crucial tool for me.

My Beachbody Experience started May of 2005 after my brother's wedding. Needless to say after seeing the pictures, I was so ashamed and disgusted with what I saw, I decided it was time to change my life. Health and fitness had never been important to me. I had never really worked out a day in my life, so this new program was very different and, to be honest, a little scarey for me. But it was time to get out of my comfort zone and create change.
Before P90 arrived I began by walking. I could only do a few blocks to start with, but within a couple weeks I was walking a good half mile. Then P90 finally arrived and I jumped in, literally. At first, I had to do alot of modifications. Hey, I couldn't even do more than 2 jumping jacks without my ankles hurting, so I improvised. But I did what I needed to do to keep my heart rate up. I really have no idea how much I weighed when I started, cause my scales would not go high enough. So I'm not sure how successful that first round was in terms of weight loss. My pics, however, sure showed the difference.
I've been with Beachbody now for over two years. I'm still using P90 with some hiking and walking/jogging thrown in, but have recently purchasted P90Masters for when I'm ready to graduate to the next level. To date I've lost nearly 85 pounds. I'm going to continue using Beachbody workouts until I reach my goal body. Someday, at my own wedding, I won't be ashamed to be in those pics!
