I have been married now 23 years to a beautiful lady, and we have two sons. Exercise has always been a problem, stress at work, lack of time, low motivation and not enough effort in the little exercise that I did do. All were excuses I used to define why I am today way overweight. In my 20s and 30s, I remember that my body just craved exercise and when I got around to it I got great results. Problem was I did not stick to it. What I lacked was the right frame of mind and a structured program that I could tackle. I lost my father a year ago, and it hit hard. Seeing the effect of a bad heart, bad lungs and little exercise. Fact is, that was where I was heading if I did not change anything. His passing away highlighted how much I will miss him and how much he will miss seeing his grandsons grow up and they enjoying his company. I guess I want to be around to see my kids grow up, get married and have some grandkids. I am overweight and in bad shape. On the plus side, I do not smoke anymore (over 15 years) and rarely drink. Doc says the key elements, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar are OK, but the weight and fat needed attention or my heart will be the first victim. I am very motivated to get back into shape and loose the weight. I want to enjoy those retirement years and that starts here, right now. I do not want to start having physical problems as I am aging and then have to just waste away my retirement in the hospitals. I want to be around for some great family gatherings and some sport with my grandkids. My Progress My Fitness Goal: Transformation Story

09/12/2006 P90X. Sixty days are just about up. Phase 2 recovery week in progress. It has been a challenge every single day. Even lost my way (Motivation) there for a couple of weeks, but with the help of my buddies and some serious internal reflection, came out of it more determined than ever to complete the 90 days. Doing my best, getting stronger every time out. Abs X still a challenge. I can do 280 of the 349 reps. Still expect to make it by grad day. Yoga is not my favorite. Tough Tough Tough routine, I have balance issues and some of the moves seem light years away from what I can do. Still plugging away at it though. Practice makes perfect, I Hope. ... 06/26/2006 P90X The ultimate experience is at hand. This should be fun. Did some trials with my buddy Aquababe and both of us are going Classic. Love Love Love the Kenpo, Plyo, and all the weight routines. So, So, on the Yoga. Will do my best and like Tony says “Forget the rest”. … 06/12/2006 Master completed. This has been a great journey. The workouts are all challenging in their own way. I am glad to have completed this before going after P90X. Have previewed several of the DVDs and can see many of the same type of exercise in Masters repeated in a more challenging way n P90X. Looking forward to it. Total Weight loss to date 65 lbs. … 03/06/2006 Started Power 90 Master series. 6 routines, all tough but, doable after p90 Classic. The routines are really fresh, very interesting and get your heart up. Stomach OK now and I can push it real good. I love it. June 04 is 90 days. I have a wedding to go to that week and want to get into a new suit. ... 02/13/2006 Recovery is well on its way. Push-Ups and Power Yoga are still a challenge with the healing stomach muscles. But whatever I do, P90 and the Diet program work. My strength is going up and weight/inches are coming off. ... 01/20/2006. Saw the Doctor. Got a green light to workout again!!!! Will take from 1-2 again. First Cardio and it went well. Could not complete one push-up or the upward dog. Had to jog instead of power yoga. Will take it slow first week. Rest of Cardio went very very good. AB100, 4 x 10 on 10, 3 x 5 on 10, 1 x 2 on 10 and 1 x 0 on 10. It will come back. THIS FEELS GREAT. Cannot describe how much I missed this during the last month. New stats on Monday. ... P90 Masters series arrived 12/14. Planned to start it on 12/19. Unfortunately due to appendectomy 12/16 I will have to put that on hold. Plan to do a new round of P90 starting end of January and later that summer once I am strong enough again, I will jump into the Masters (5-6 etc...). ... 12/05/2005/ It's official I am a P90 Grad and it feels fantastic. The last 30 days were especially worth it. My overall energy level is sky high (no pun intended) compared to day 1. I've got to admit, on Day 1, this Day 90 seemed very far away, and I had some doubts. What really motivated me to Push Play week after week was the Success Buddy Program and the results. I am sure I could not have done this without two great buddies, which I must thank enormously. First spice762001, and in the last thirty days, RokNRollMom. Many thanks to both of you. I hope to WOWY many more times as I am ready for the next phase. My overall goal is to loose 100 +++ lbs. So 35 lbs and 21 inches of fat are gone with P90 1-2, 3-4. Target for the next 90 days is another 35 lbs and hopefully 10-15 more inches. I have ordered the P90 Master 5-6 series and expect to get it any day. I am very realistic, I do not yet have the abs that some of the BB success stories have, but I will get there very soon. I started with a body that needed serious help and with Tony and the BB experience I have finally started to reclaim my health. Thanks to you Tony and Beachbody. I too will say to anyone who asks, " KEEP PUSHING PLAY"! ... Second month is now complete. 3-4 is still a challenge. I am doing the best I can, but the third round of Jumping Jacks and Run/Lunge is still a killer. I jog those out right now but am trying to do more each time I press play. Ab 200 is nearly there. Bicycle and full body crunches are hard to complete, still working on it. Overall the diet is working wonderfully. I have stuck to it with a better than 90% success rate. The routine and schedule has been good and the results show. I feel stronger, my resistance is up. I can climb two flights of stairs without sounding like a wounded elephant. All in all a great experience and I look forward to this last month and the results. I am thinking of a round 2 of P90 or I may check the boards for opinions and go for a follow-up program, Slim Series or Power Half-Hour. ... Well the first month is in the bag and I feel great. As the days and weeks rolled by I have noticed great changes and I am just pumped up for what is coming up next month. This was not as easy as I thought it would be but the routine and pushing to complete every exercise as it is meant to be has proven that BB is a great way to get into shape quickly without killing you or starving you.
