As a kid, I wasn't much of a team athlete due to vision problems, but I did like various forms of exercise. In my 20s, I ran until needing knee surgery and then swam until I needed shoulder surgery. After being on the mend, I broadened my cross training activites. While my weight has fluctuated, particularly when recovering from some minor injury, I have had seasons of pretty good fitness. I

At this point, I have much of a transformation story because I haven't used the program as designed. Running is my activity of choice and I try to do two marathons a year.

I bought P90 almost two years ago while taking a break from running. What I found, however, is that P90 is a very efficient means of cross training and unless I haven't done the routine in a long time, it doesn't affect me adversely. The ab routines are very efficient. There is no other stomach thing I've done which has been so comprehensive. Doing both 3-4 routines has enabled me to break through plateaus with my weight training, etc.

Being favorably impressed with the results of others, I thought I'd bump it up a notch and do P90X. I bought everything I deamed necessary and never quite engineered the sweet spot scheduling wise or with food preparation. So, while I passed the test and have done a few P90X routines, I have yet to really DO IT.

That, however, is going to change. I had a skin treatment which has me paranoid about sun exposure for the next year; this really reduces the lure of running. So, I've been consistently working out in preparation to start doing the X in mid-March. I've figured out a schedule. I've created some easy meal plans. I just need to expand my meal choices while minimizing preparation time.
