During his elementary years he inquired many awards as a young illustrator, poet, and in academics. Skippa was baptized at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in 1990. He excelled as a high school student in the IB program (International Baccalaureate). This is where he found his niche in wrestling. Following it the footsteps of his brother, Anthony Skeeta Hixson, he accumulated the second most wins in Prosser Career Academy under his bother, Skeeta, as number one. Skippa graduated with honors to go on to attend Columbia College Chicago. There, he studied film and video with a concentration in directing for a year and a half. While at the same time attended JRP (John Robert Powers) and represented them at the IMTA Competition (International Modeling and Talent Association). He won the monologue and sitcom competition. He was sought by agents to move to LA but at the same time Skippa was advised to stay in Chicago to study more. When the money ran out, he was accepted into Second City Chicago intern program by Dionna Griffin. Skippa studied improv, musical improv, comedy writing, and screen play writing, while, simultaneously returning to Prosser with Skeeta to help the wrestling team when they could. He performed in live shows through out the city. Slowly climbing the actor’s ladder he paid his dues. Skippa soon after, landed his first role in a national commercial. At a Second City’s meet and greet he met the guys who soon became his production company 750entertainment. (Rico, Skeeta, Alfie, Nate, Lamorne, and Lauren) Soon after, he landed two more commercials. 750 began to meet and created Denied the Show, an improv group. They soon began to earn the respect of the improv community. Skippa then landed two major motion films. He returned once again to Prosser where he met and introduced his new team to the new principal. The new principal, Kenneth “Buzz” Hunter, welcomed them with open arms. They created a bound that can’t be broken. He soon inducted Skippa and Skeeta into the Hall of Heroes for their wrestling accolades. Denied The Show was soon made into a TV show pilot and handed out on Dvd’s. Lamorne landed a hosting job on BET. Skippa and Rico formed Team Penguin and began writing for him. Skeeta and Skippa started studying Hapkido, then Karate, and simultaneously studied Jujitsu. Skippa and Rico were sought by others for their writing abilities. Skippa and Skeeta began to get sucked deeper into the martial art’s world. Skippa created a new wrestling style and is determined to bring it back to Prosser Career Academy. There, Skippa and Skeeta will coach while Rico directs the documentary of their accomplishments. They have all agreed to become less focused on their on careers and to become fully focused on Prosser’s Pre-Olympic training program. While using the P90X program. Let me start off by giving you a little of my background. I am a 24 year old mixed martial artist and a wrestling sectional champion. I am not a stranger to hard workouts. I’m a former “anti-home workout DVD program” kind of guy. I helped my mom lose weight on different occasions. But it was getting to the point that I wanted to find a program that my mom and sister could stick to even when I wasn’t around. I saw things on TV that I knew would work for them if they used them. But, you wouldn’t catch me using a DVD to work out to. One morning, about 3:00 a.m., I was up editing a project and I caught a glimpse of P90X. I have to admit I was a little impressed, but didn’t take down the info. The next day I asked a couple of friends had they ever heard of it and no one had seen it. My mom kept telling me that she wanted me to help her and my little sister to lose weight so I told her about P90X. I told her I even wouldn’t mind trying some home workout DVD with them. I stayed up every night for a week looking for it. I finally found it at 3:00 a.m. and wrote down the information. I woke up 3 hours later at 6 a.m., to get ready for church and the infomercial had come back on. (I laughed at myself because I had just stayed up all night looking for it.) I ran down stairs and told my mom to look at it. She ordered P90X. When it came, she promised that she and my little sister would work out with me, but they took the fit test and said it was too hard. So I had to do it by myself. I didn’t even have enough space in my room, so I had to transform my room first. I made a dresser with a fold-up wall bed to give me space. (I wish MDB had a space here for room transformation.) I bought floor weight mats and was ready to go. I popped the chest, back, and Ab ripper X DVD in the first day. I was totally impressed then. I have destroyed every work out plan I’ve ever faced and these people where giving me a challenge. The next morning I woke up extremely sore. I did, however, manage to put the Plyometrics DVD in. I did it. The next morning I was even more sorerer. Is that a word? Any way, my arms were hurting even more. I could barely lift them to feed myself. I was hooked. I hadn’t felt like this since my freshman year in high school. I couldn’t do the arm and shoulder that Wednesday but that Thursday I did the yoga. I felt like new. That was the first time I had ever done yoga. It made me feel so good all over. Yeah, I said it. You can’t judge me. My arms became loose and I could feed myself again. Yay!!! That Friday I did my legs and back. I hate doing legs but I love doing back. The next day I did the Kenpo X. I enjoyed Kenpo X. Okay, once I got pass that first week everything was up heel from there. Keep in mind while I was doing the 90 days. I was still doing Hapkido, Jujitsu, Karate, and Grappling. I didn’t change my diet and I couldn’t afford the recovery drink because I have just bought some right before I got the DVD series. Matter of fact I was trying to gain weight while I was doing this program I gained weight and muscle mass. I went from fluctuating between 140 and 143 to fluctuating between 147 and 150. Each week I wrote down what I was doing and I was seeing improvements on the paper. I followed the program verbatim. Going back to grappling I was noticing that I was beginning to match the strength of the people who use to be a lot stronger than me. I was able to throw moves from places I had never been able to before. I was breathing better and wouldn’t get fatigued. I even took pictures to my agents and they were impressed. I went from doing 16 pull ups to 22 a set. Now I’m back down to 8 per set with 50lbs around my waist. I’m coming for you Tony. Just get used to saying, “Skippa, you forgot I can’t do as many sets as you”. I even feel okay to take my shirt off and stand next to my brother now. When you see his picture, you will understand. I tell everybody now that I use a DVD to work out with and I am not ashamed. Do you want me to tell you how serious P90X is in my life? Okay. Since the beginning of the year 30 students have been killed do to gang violence and I want to do something about it. I am taking this program back to my old high school and starting a bodybuilding team to have an additional club for those that are prospects of gang violence. To show them that there are better things to do and show them how to turn their high school sports into careers even if they don’t go pro. That’s not it. I have recreated KenpoX and made Collegiate X. It’s the wrestling alternative to KenpoX. The bodybuilding team will basically be the wrestling team. I have created a new wrestling style derived form the work outs in P90X. I am so sold on the X that I am in the process of signing my church up to use it and simultaneously training my brother as he pursues his mixed martial arts career. I have also just become a coach for MDB and am about to get P90 for my mom and dad to work out to. As for my little sister, she will be attending the high school where I will have the body building program at. She’s all mine now. Ha Ha Ha “As I laugh uncontrollably with a slice of mad scientist.” Okay. I don’t want my story to be to long. If you want to know more just contact me. I don’t mind testifying for P90X. Hallelujah!!!
