Transformation Story

I am a 38 year old stay at home Mom. My husband Mike and I have four
children, two boys and two girls. Their ages are nine, seven, four and two. My

I am a 38 year old stay at home Mom. My husband Mike and I have four
children, two boys and two girls. Their ages are nine, seven, four and two. My
husband and I were Jr. High School sweethearts and have been together for
25 years and married since 1994. I competed in several teen Body Building
competitions and I won the Teenage Ms. Maine in 1990.
Over the next 15 years allot happened in our lives. Mike joined the Military,
became a Maine State Trooper, and I had our four Children. I continued to
workout sporadically, but I was never really happy with my fitness level. I
maintained a good diet and worked out during all four of my pregnancies and
I'm convinced that our children were born healthy and strong because of this.
After the birth of our last child in 2004, I was not happy with my physical
condition at all. Mike and I saw the Power 90 infomercial on TV and decided
to give Power 90 a try. Doing the program together would be our strength.
We started Power 90 in February of 2005. We decided to give the program a
full 90 days and see how far we could take our fitness levels. We cleaned up
our diets completely. We made Power 90 our lifestyle, rather than a program
we were going to try for 90 days.
I got excellent results! I lost 12 lbs. and went from a size 4 to a size 0! I was
so happy!
After we completed our first 90 days with Power 90, we continued using the
program for the next nine months. Then we tried the Power 90 Masters Series.
It was just what we were looking for! We stayed with the Masters Series for
another year.
In June 2006 I got very sick with viral meningitis and ended up in the Hospital
for 4 days. I have never been so sick in all of my life. My fever soared to over
104 degrees. It was 30 minutes into a 1 hour ice bath that I made my peace
with God. I prayed to him that if I wasn't going to survive this, then he
needed to take me now. I didn't want it to drag on. I knew that Mike would
take care of our babies and that my Grampy was waiting in Heaven to take
care of me. I left the hospital four days later and it took me five weeks to fully
recover. I talked to the Doctor that treated me in the hospital and asked him
why it took me so long to get better? His response was "Tami, if you weren't
as physically fit as you are, you wouldn't have fully recovered or even
survived." That is so surreal to me. The simple fact is that I believe P90 saved
my life. I'm forever grateful.

This brings us to February 2007. I was not in the shape I knew I could
achieve. I had gained a few pounds back since my first round of Power 90. We
decided it was time to give P90X a try. We started our first round of P90X in
March 2007. It was very tough, but we got stronger and more fit every day.
We took our nutritional discipline to a level we never thought we could
achieve.
We worked VERY hard during our workouts. Things got brutal at times, but it
was all worth it 1000 times over! I got awesome results. I lost 11 lbs and
developed a six pack stomach that everyone thought was impossible after
having four children! I am in the absolute best shape of my life! I am leaner,
stronger, and more flexible than I ever thought I could be.
During my Beach Body journey I have lost a total of 20 lbs., 14% body fat, and
added lean, ripped muscle! I have accepted the challenge of becoming a
Team Beachbody Coach and pursuing my passion for fitness by helping
others achieve their goals! I am using my P90X results to spread the awesome
message of fitness to as many people as I can. I am teaching an Adult
Education Fitness Class to 45 women at our local High School and I've spoken
to the Junior Class at the High School the last two years about Fitness and
Nutrition.

husband, Mike, your love and support has played a HUGE part in my success.
We have achieved our own individual results but our fitness journey, we
completed together. I love you so much Mike. You are my heart.
