I’m Rafael Castillo. I was born in Brooklyn, NY to Puerto Rican parents. I live in Winston-Salem, NC. My goal has always been to be self-employed and self-sufficient.

I very much enjoy being a Beachbody Coach and offering not only advice but, a means to a better, healthier life to others. My aim is to be very healthy, successful in business and perpetually happy!

Transformation Story

Before Beachbody, I would work out for a short periods and then quit even though it has been my desire to be physically fit ever since the early 1980’s. I had the desire but never the drive. Then I hit my 40’s and my body began to change in ways that did not please me at all! My eyesight got worse and my belly got bigger! I spent all my adult life with a 32” waist and now it began creeping more and more to the 36” mark. I could not stand that but I still did not exercise. In late 2004, my first wife and I separated. That was the catalyst that set in motion first my mental transformation. I realized that my lack of self-esteem and lack of drive came from the abuse I had suffered as a child. Once I accepted and dealt with that I started on a path of self-improvement that eventually led to my lovely wife, Tawanda, in North Carolina. Not until Tawanda’s co-worker, Marty Parsons, introduced her to the Beachbody opportunity did I take exercise seriously. I began with P90 and will move on to P90X.

I went from 181 pounds to 175 and lost inches off my waist. Not only that but, I got what I never had before, a six-pack! Now I love working out! I feel much better about myself, I love the way I look and I look forward to achieving optimal health and fitness. Thank you, Beachbody! Thank you, Marty Parsons, and thank you, Tawanda!
