Beachbody is helping me maintain lifetime fitness goals that have become harder as I age. I am constantly working towards my goal yet have reached fitness levels I thought I had would not regain.
Here is a little background. I am now nearing retirement, happily married, with 3 adult children (one still in college). I am constantly working towards my goal yet have reached fitness levels I thought I had would not regain.
Here is a little background. I am now nearing retirement, happily married, with 3 adult children (one still in college). I am now fitting 2 sizes less than when I began working online although I still vary in my fitness level depending on work/family demands. My goal now is to try to juggle in the varied routines my body now craves with a still demanding workload that stays a constant. I have juggled with this most of my adult life having always enjoyed physical activities. I have struggled with maintaining optimum weight most of my life and had it varied the most in the last decade or so.
I have taught in elementary schools since age 22 with most of it in special education. I am currently working in a new K-8 school as the resource specialist.
I love walking and hiking, working in the garden, anything with dance movements, yoga and pilates, weights, spin classes, am experimenting a little with budokan, and downhill and cross-country skiing. I do find I have to modify routines at this point. My objective is to maintain an active lifestyle that allows me to do the things I enjoy well past the age of retirement. This is something my husband and I are both committed to and support each other in our daily routines. As busy professionals, our biggest struggle is keeping routines consistent during demanding seasons and schedules and helping extended family and community involvement.
My times online varies due to work schedule and I do many different things now as my body will develop tolerance for any one routine and sometimes requires targeting certain areas due to injuries. Every now and then I push it a little too far doing something, especially on the ski slopes or in the mountains. Yet that is where I enjoy it the most and I hope to keep doing so for decades to come!

I love how Beachbody renewed my body and overall feeling of healthiness. Weight loss is slow and difficult to maintain because of age, medications, and demanding work schedule, yet I have been able to maintain now for a year. I am hoping to gain new ground this coming year. I see it possible to eventually discontinue medications. Thanks Chalene and all the Beachbody community.
I have joined the local gym. I now integrate spin classes, weight sculpting, step classes, yoga, pilates, and other activities in my routines. I am loving it! The gym even asked if I would consider teaching classes. This last year had a lot of unforeseen challenges and my routines were less regular so right now I am trying to regain some ground and move forward in my fitness goals.
