My name is Robert, I am 47 and new to the Team Beach Body. Growing up in Texas, I was always big for my size. I grew up in a family Mex-American restaurant and ate whatever I desired. I drank plenty of soft drinks instead of water, and ate plenty of fried foods. I have progressively gained weight for the past 20 years and I have always tried to lose weight before, but no luck. I drank plenty of soft drinks instead of water, and ate plenty of fried foods. I have progressively gained weight for the past 20 years and I have always tried to lose weight before, but no luck. After moving to California I joined a gym in 2002, though I did become stronger, there was no real change in body fat or my appearance. In 2004 I did lose 40 lbs. from a low calorie diet (1000 calories). I like the results, but got bored with the meal plan. In May 2008 I ordered P90X with the hope that I could make the commitment. I do have high blood pressure diagnosed in 2000, which I would like to get under control. After I made my intial order, I reflected if I made the right decision?? I know my body is resistant to losing weight, but I still want to try. My true desire is to lose the weight on my own and be a success story myself. I know i'm not alone in this, but at the same time I am. So here I am guys, I want to be in the best shape of my life now than when I was 25. Thanks, Robert

Hello there, I am starting my P90X workout for the second time. The first time I only completed one month of the classic phase. There was little change in fat loss, but I did get stronger. I was surprised that I could do all those pushups. I remember that I could not even do one push up when I started. My focus is too really get the diet down and stay focused on changing my body. I know that my body will not respond as quickly as other body types. I do not know why. Just the way my factory is made up. With that said I find encouragement from other guys that had my exact stats when they started. To see them all fit is very inspirational to me. My goal right now is to work on new photos....good or bad....but hopefully they will be good.
