Proud father of 2 wonderful girls & husband to my beautiful wife. I live in Cary, NC. I'm in my forty's & I'm looking to get into shape & take care of my body. I've never been considered overweight, i have a pretty slim frame but increasing muscle strength & size has always been a challenge for me. When i was in my teens, I completely dislocated my right shoulder while performing incline bench press'. Since then my shoulder has been prone to injury & pain. I started P90x back in March of '09. (there's a funny story to this which I'll save for later...). I attacked my first workout (back & chest) but by 3 or 4 days into training, I couldn't raise my right arm. I went to my Dr. & had a few sessions with a masseuse to try & get the kink out but when all was said & done, 3 months had passed when I was finally able to do a pushup without fearing my arm would start shooting with pain again. I am now into my 3rd week of P90x (I know... long way to go!)...I've modified almost all the routines, focusing on using bands & lightening the load on my shoulder. So far so good. I still feel a little pain, but I am able to get through all the workouts. I guess you could say that I'm taking baby steps. I'd love to jump into doing pullups again, but I don't want to have another setback! We'll see. I love these workouts. I feel like a million bucks after Plyometrics. My sleeping patterns have improved as well, no longer the night owl! Ironically I've turned into a morning person. I just love getting up early & going to work. Most of my p90 routines are done at night, which is tough on some days...but it's better than watching tv & surfing the web for hours!
Anyways, glad to be apart of the p90 crew!
