Philadelphia, PA
My name is Barbara and I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. When I was in my twenties I was very active and enjoyed all kinds of sports. I was on softball, bowling, and volleyball teams. I was always on the run and enjoyed being outside either walking, swimming, and playing sports. In my early 30's I was still active, but noticed I wasn't as active as I used to be--I stopped playing softball
My name is Barbara and I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. When I was in my twenties I was very active and enjoyed all kinds of sports. I was on softball, bowling, and volleyball teams. I was always on the run and enjoyed being outside either walking, swimming, and playing sports. In my early 30's I was still active, but noticed I wasn't as active as I used to be--I stopped playing softball and slowed down on volleyball & bowling as well. I went through some emotionally tough times with my family life with my mom suffering from congestive heart failure and having to take care of her and going through some of my own life issues struggling with anxiety and depression. It seemed I would gain weight every year and didn't do much to lose it.
I joined Beachbody a few years back and really enjoyed the P90 workouts. I stuck with it for about a good 7 to 8 weeks, but got distracted with the stresses of working full time and attending college at night. I attempted to get back on the ball several times thereafter with no success. There always seemed to be some kind of obstacle whenever I wanted to start living a healthier lifestyle that included working out on a consistant basis. So I let the DVD's sit on top of my DVD player to collect dust. That was definitely disappointing.
So now, at age 42, I look in the mirror and ask myself how did I let myself gain this much weight. I am now the heaviest I have ever been in my entire life and it scares me! I am very close to going on cholestrol meds. and so far (thank God) have eluded getting Diabetes. Now, quite a few years later, I am back to reach my goal of becoming fit and healthy. So, with the help of Beachbody DVD's & members I intend to start over and do it the right way by pushing play.
Well, Today is 8/21/09 and I have decided to start over again on
P90...I didn't have the support, connections, and coach like I do now...so I see that support is so vital to my success. Now, let's bring it together:0)
