I've weighed at least 165 (or more) since I was about 12.
Well two years ago, I weighed over 200 pounds. I got sick and tired of it to the point that I would wake up thinking "Oh great, here is another day of fatty foods". A friend of ours came by and all he talked about was how he did yoga, and surfed all the time. (He used to weigh over 300 lbs.) This guy was in great shape. So I asked him what to do and he set us up with a diet and work out. I bought an elipitical bike and several DVD's, pilates, The Firm, and Yoga Booty Ballet, which I LOVE! My husband bought weights and a weight bench. We did pretty good for the first year, dieting the majority of the time, but old habits die hard so it was hard to break the 12 pack of beer once a week then Chinese Buffet the next day. Despite that, we lost 50 pounds each.
Last October, my husband was in his shop building me a bench and he was trying to make legs for it, and spinning a 25 lb. peice of wood on his lathe, it began to wobble, and spun off hitting him in the forehead. It broke his nose, eyesocket, and skull. He was in ICU with a hemmatoma on his brain for 5 days. He has headaches every day and will for the rest of his life. He can hardly work for more than 2 hours at a time, needless to say can not lift weights anymore. During his recovery we reverted back to out old habits, re-gaining about 15 or 20 pounds. My elipitical bike broke.....it was terrible. 3 months ago I found FIT TV and have been working out from around 9:30 to 12 each day with Fit TV. I am back to my pre-accident weight. I still need to lose about 40 pounds but work out 6 days a week.

This is my beginning to get fit story.
