Here it is June 22nd 2009.. I start P90X in 2 days, and I'm really psyched.... rewind 9 years...

All throughout my childhood and high school I danced. In high school I went to a school that had a magnet for visual and performing arts, so I danced 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 4 years. Needless to say I could eat anything. I had Jack in the Box twice a day and would lose weight! I was 125 pounds, a size 5/6 and loving it.

I graduated and stopped dancing as much...maybe only once a week... but boy was I loving my Jack in the Box. I was able to maintain my weight for the whole next school year, but come summer of 2001 I gained a whopping 40 pounds in 4 months! I still don't know how that happened so fast...but there it was... and I was stuck with it.

I was still dancing a little, and I was trying to eat healthy, but my heart wasn't in it as much as it should have been. I mean I could do whatever I wanted before..why should I have to change it now? You mean I have to WORK to get the weight off? yeah right!

In May of 2003 I made a bet with my mom.. she wanted to lose weight, I wanted to lose weight, we would do it together. We wrote down all of our food and all of our calories burned and at the end of each week, whomever netted the least amount of calories would win. I won each week, and subsequently lost 20 pounds.

Of course that fall I went off to college in southern CA and completely fell off that band wagon. By the time I came back in May of 2004 I had kept only 10 pounds of that weight off.

Over the next few years I tried to lose the weight but I never really kept up with something long enough for it to make a difference long term. I did manage to break into the 120's (129.5 to be exact) in April 2008, and thought I'd finally get down to the coveted 125 I've been striving for.

Well, I didn't.

Instead, I stopped working out to pack all of my things, and moved across the country where I proceeded to not do a damn thing for 3 months while eating 2 slices of pizza every day on my lunch break... Before I knew it my weight was back up to 152. Over the last year I've danced my way down to 147, but without more money and more dance classes to take... I seem to be stagnant at 147.

Enter P90X. I'm motivated and I am ready to get this off for good! I want to feel good in a bathing suit, and want to get out of my "fat" jeans and into my "skinny" ones. I also have a boyfriend that is gorgeous and ripped and he doesn't even have to try. I'm not about to be the girlfriend where people say under their breath "Why is HE with HER?!?!?!" No way... not me! I'm going to be toned and lean and such a knockout that instead of "why HER" they say "They're so cute together!" Thats me in 90 days... September 23 2009.. and you can quote me on that.
