How I lost my original weight, I cut my eating habits down. 6 small meals a day instead of three big ones. Watched how much fat I was eating. Cut out the all day coffees and got it down to 2 a day. Started drinking water. That was a big change!!! I started walking everyday about a mile and a half. Then I started power 90. So now here I am starting HHAs and so far am in love with the workout. I love HHAs because I love to dance and thought it would be not so much of a high impact work out. I was born with scholiosis and was in a back brace from elementary school up into high school. Where I got pregnant with my first wonderful boy. I was told that I probably shouldn't have kids. But who can say no to the biggest joys of your life. During my pregnancy with my second child I found out I had cervical cancer. After giving birth to my one and only princess I started chemotherapy. A year and a half later I was given a clean bill of health. During that year though I lost one of the greatest people I have ever met. My stepfather. Which I guess is where most of my weight gain began. It was a very tough year for me. I decided after that year to live life to it's fullest (which also meant I turned into a pig). Next came my third and last child. Another beautiful boy, that added another 75 lbs to my already growing waist line. Being pregnant 3 times with back problems and all that extra weight on my tiny 5ft 1in frame put a major strain on my hips. So over time I have developed hip displasia. Which basically is I have a hip but no sockett. So I have bone rubbing bone which causes alot of pain. Losing the weight helped to alleviate some of that pain. Joining MDB helps me stay accountable. Plus now when I don't work out my hip starts to hurt. So all this exercise turned out to be great for both my hip and my back. Now I'm looking at P90X for my next project. Never thought I would say that.
