Hi there! My name is Casey and I live in Ankeny, Iowa (northern "suburb" of Des Moines!). I have worked full time in the insurance industry for the past 8 years (no I don't sell it:) and also work as a wellness coach/personal trainer at the local YMCA (I am an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer). My free time is often spent cheering on my favorite teams (GO Iowa HAWKS!) and being surrounded by good people..my wonderful friends, family, and boyfriend Jason. And as you can probably guess I also spend a lot of my free time pursuing my passion...overall health for myself and everyone around me..through fitness, nutrition, stress management, medical wellness, relaxation, and family time. Beach Body has a great variety of programs for cardio, toning, and flexibility (and they are fun too!). There is something for everyBODY!
To get started, below are some helpful hints and steps:
1) Choose a program that fits your personality, lifestyle, abilities, time, and fitness goals. Click on the “Shop Products” button, then click on Fitness Videos...you can then choose to compare programs. You can compare programs on all types of things..including time, level (beginner vs advanced, type (yoga, dance!), etc.

2) Take your “before” photo as soon as you can. I know sometimes you don't want to look back at those photos..but once you are done you'll thank me! Also, you can win up to $250,000 by submitting your transformation story if you’re a club member.
3) Look at your schedule and plan your workouts so that it becomes part of your daily life and then you aren't tempted to skip...as it's already part of your day! Log in each day and use the WOWY online gym, and you could win up to $1000 a day just for working out...now THAT is motivation! Plus you are working out with people all across the nation..so you aren't really "working out with yourself!" 4) Consider joining the Club. You will get personalized meal planning, healthy recipes, Thin Kitchen cooking classes, and much more! I would say I have always been a petite and active person, athletic however-no! My journey to wellness began about 5 years ago when I decided I was finally going to try running after YEARS of telling More...
I would say I have always been a petite and active person, athletic however-no! My journey to wellness began about 5 years ago when I decided I was finally going to try running after YEARS of telling myself I wasn't an athlete. I trained to run a half marathon and as you can probably guess, I was hooked! Over the next few years as I continued to run, I started to explore strength training, nutrition, cross training, and the value of sharing my knowledge to others. I loved being able to help others achieve their goals through coaching them. This motivated me to start wellness coaching at the YMCA, get my Personal Trainer Certificate from AFAA, and also to get knowledge from anywhere I could (YMCA training, magazines, online, classes, ACSM Personal Trainer books, other fitness professionals). I loved what I was doing..but always wanted a more organized approach. I was constantly changing my cross training, strength training, and my coaching for others to get it right.
I had been introduced to Team BeachBody on a casual basis a few times over the past few years, but as a runner I didn't think I needed those things..I just wanted to run (yes us runners can be a tad stubborn at times:) I was referred to Turbo Jam by several good friends...and since I had recently started to like kick boxing as a cross trainer to running I tried it. I had my apprehensions as I am known for being a tad uncoordinated:) I am so glad I did..I fell in love with it! I began to explore Team BeachBody...the information was great and I was able to be in touch with other wellness enthusiasts. I also started to do Yoga Booty Ballet to help with my pure lack of flexibility...it was another great way for me to mix up my running schedule. My Team BeachBody Coach then contacted me about coaching myself. I had been wanting to do some independent things in wellness and was looking for the right opportunity, so here I am today..as a Team BeachBody Coach! As I continue to work on the programs at Team BeachBody, I am really starting to see a change in my appearance and my overall outlook on life...as I look forward to the organized approach for my cross training and strength. It makes a big difference in your overall daily attitude and energy level! It has enabled me to get to the ideal weight for me so that I can continue to focus on toning, flexibility, and nutrition through the Beach Body programs. I now am a ChaLEAN Extreme girl and mix in some Insanity to help with my running program-and love every minute of it! Shakeology has become a normal part of my everyday life, I can't imagine my mornings without it (who doesn't like a chocolate smoothie for breakfast?:) That, along with the wonderful fitness programs, have enabled me to keep my Chron's Disease under control for now! I just turned 30..but I feel more alive and healthy now than I did in high school! I can't emphasize enough what a TOTAL transformation I have gone through with Team Beachbody, not just in the physical nature. The people that I coach with and coach have made me realize what an impact positivity can have on others, as well as working as a team. It's truly been a life saving experience for my soul-I hope I can share that with everyone around me!
