I encountered P90X one late night when I just couldn't bring myself to go to sleep. I had been looking for an enjoyable way to live a healthier life that would also let me work out at home. I'd been a gym member a few times, which worked in certain ways, but never really got me where I wanted to be. I was probably at my fittest while I was practicing Arnis (Filipino martial art) and going to the gym regularly, but even then there was much to be desired.

After a health screening at my work showed cholesterol levels bordering on the high bracket, I decided it was time to get in gear. I joined the gym again, but it was a short lived relationship. I just grew tired of it, tired of the same thing, and tired of having to spend as much time driving there and back as I was working out.

So, I chose to give P90X a shot. After the first week, I couldn't walk straight or wash my hair in the shower because I was so sore! But it had worked so well that I was determined to keep at it. Ab Ripper also creamed me so I made it my goal to match the video rep for rep before I was done. I tried getting my friends to join me cause I couldn't really explain just how effective it was.

Alas, I ended up finishing my first P90X cycle alone, but much stronger than when I had started. I admit, I didn't follow it to a T and my diet was not all that great, but I knew that P90X worked, and that's all that mattered.

One day, about a year later, I managed to get a friend enthused about it so we started a new cycle at the same time and he loved it! Soon it was all we could talk about, and our enthusiasm just spread. The next thing I know, three of my other friends are coming over regularly so we can workout together. And let me just say that it is infinitely more fun with friends around :)

After finishing another classic cycle with them, I still wasn't quite satisfied with where I'd ended up. I was stronger, for sure, but my body fat was still high, and so was my cholesterol.

That realization put me on the path of the lean program and I followed the nutrition plan to the letter. I noticed that my energy levels were much higher and my midsection is finally starting to lean out. My body fat was dropping as well.

I was lucky enough to land a great coach, rebadela, who has been absolutely great so far. We have a very open level of communication and we're both very excited to begin coaching and helping people change their lives for the better.

What I truly love about this is that if you do it correctly, the product speaks for itself. If you do it correctly and stay committed to it you will get results and people will recognize those results.

I am now several cycles through my fitness journey. "That Team" is also getting results and we are revving up to dig in deep and go all out with the upcoming release of Insanity. Right now we do a combination of P90X, Tony Horton's One on One workouts, P90X+, ChaLean Extreme, and the Insanity preview workout. That one Insanity workout alone has us really excited for the full program and we are beyond confident that with it we will all get the results that we have been looking for.

Aside from my own personal success with Beachbody and its products, the most fulfilling thing about being involved with this company and its programs is the impact that it's had on the people around me. My closest friends and family take their health and fitness more seriously now and it's something that we can all share and enjoy together. It is truly a life changing thing and all of the changes have been for the better.
