January 1, 2008...I weighed in at 207 lbs. At that point I made a decision to not get any heavier. My plan of attack was to start walking 10k steps a day. After I purchased myself a pedometer I began my journey. I also had to start eating healthier which I did. I began on a 1500 cal per day eating plan and within 3 months I had lost 30 lbs! I joined a local gym and shortly after that hired a personal trainer. I proceeded to lose another 20 lbs working with her once per week for 12 weeks. After that I just stayed in the gym at least 4-5 times per week but never really had any further progress on toning up or losing more weight. I slacked a bit on my food and throughout the holidays I put on about 5-10 lbs. At this point I decided to just jump in and order P90X! I have not looked back since....
After completing my first round of P90X, I noticed major changes in my body makeup! I lost 6.5 lbs over the 90 day cycle plus several inches which is really what I was aiming for. My fat has gone away and instead I now have more muscle mass...not gigantic muscles but noticeably toned muscles. :) And now that I am working out with Chalene Johnson through ChaLEAN Extreme I am getting even more results that inspire me to inspire others.
UPDATE: July 30, 2009...Well I had my bodyfat checked this past weekend and I have met my goal which I set back in January...I am now at 19%! My weight has dropped from 164 to 144 over the past 6 months! 20 lbs...I really hadn't even thought about that until now! I have to credit my success to the awesome workouts I have been doing...and to the Beachbody Community...the support and motivation are phenomenal! One more reason that being a Coach is such a JOY!
I will continue to Push Play everyday and offer help and support to others so they too can make it happen for themselves as well!
