Hello, My name is Ryan Cloutier, I am a 22 year old student studying to become a paramedic. I have been interested in fitness for a few years now and am an active rock climber. I am extremely interested in fitness and nutrition and find myself reading/researching these topics constantly. Having a very good understanding of the body and its functions definitely helps me understand the needs of the

After high school, I noticed I had been putting on some weight, I didn't care what I was eating and had no interest in becoming physically active. A couple of my friends were very interested in rock climbing and suggested a few times that I try it out with them. I found myself always finding excuses not to go, and kept delaying their invite for months and months. Finally one day I decided I would give it a try and fell in love with it instantly. For the first year I was rock climbing fairly often around 3 times a week, however there was no change in my eating habits. I just figured because I was exercising now, my body would eventually change regardless of the terrible foods I would put in my body.

Finally it hit me, after seeing someone very close to me die of a heart attack from obesity, I realized how bad my diet was and knew it was time for a change. I totally cut out fast food from my diet and to this day, have not once broken that promise. It has been almost 4 years since I have eaten anything fast food! I also started making my own meals at home so that I could regulate my diet and know exactly what I was putting into my body. I ate extremely clean and healthy for the next year or so and actually became WAY to skinny. I am 5'11" and dropped down to roughly 3% body fat, everyone was telling me I was way to skinny, but I was so used to this super clean low carb diet that I was blind to their comments.

I walked into subway one day, which I ate at fairly often, and the lady there even told me I was way to skinny! I knew at this time it was time to do something about my weight, I was sick of everyone telling me I was too skinny and looked sick. I totally cut out all of my exercise and basically stopped caring about what I was eating (minus fast foods). I ended up getting back up to around 166 lbs and barely exercised.

Working at a GNC distribution center, I came across p90x one day. I was very curious so I decided to do some research and thought of it as one of those typical programs you see on TV with the most "amazing results". I decided I would give it a shot and see what happens, there was no way i was going to get into worst shape. I took about a week to study the nutrition guide, and quickly learned so much about nutrition and actually really enjoyed it! I then filled the fridge with healthy foods found in the guide, picked up my supplements and started pressing play!

I have now completed my first round of p90X and am definetely in the best shape of my life by FAR! I loved every minute of the program and can't wait to start round 2! I am planning on doing a hybrid of Tony Horton's One on One's, p90X +, and p90x. I can't wait to see what changes I can make in the next 90 days! BRING IT!
