I truly believe that our health is our greatest asset so I try to follow God’s plan for optimal health - put God first, be temperate, eat nutritious food, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, get plenty of fresh air and sunshine; and get adequate rest. God created our bodies with the ability to repair and regenerate itself so if we do our part by following His plan for optimal health we’ll provide our bodies with the building blocks for wellness.
Although we can’t stop aging we can control the speed and severity of the degeneration process by staying active and fueling our bodies with good nutrition. So I’m really excited about joining Team Beachbody because their fitness and nutrition programs combined with their team approach will provide me with the tools and incentives I need to keep on track. I’m also excited about being a Beachbody Coach so I can share my passion for wellness and help others achieve their fitness goals.

Prior to joining Beachbody my fitness routine consisted of walking 40 mins 3 to 5 times a week, and upper body strength training 3 times per week. I think my best feature is my legs which I contribute to walking, stairs, and seated wall squats. My problem area is my stomach. Although crunches have strengthened my core muscles, I’ve been unable to get rid of the belly fat from my pregnancies. So my overall fitness goals are to tone and define the muscles in my arms and legs; and flatten my stomach to pre-baby status.
My nutrition challenge is getting quality calories. My diet is mostly vegetarian (salads, whole grains, nuts, legumes) but I do eat fish occasionally and some dairy (eggs, cheese, yogurt). My milk sources are also vegetarian – coconut milk and hemp milk. I take supplements to fill any nutritional gaps, and drink protein shakes and smoothies to get additional quality calories. I’m really excited about Shakeology because it combines all these into one nutritional shake so it will save me time and money!
