This story begins with disappointment after disappointment. I have struggled with my weight most of my married life. I was once a thin in shape lady and I lost her somewhere in stress, motherhood, failures and emotional roller coaster eating.

I hit the ultimate low about two years after my daughter was born in 1996 and weighed in at 190lbs. I was shocked, and hit the wall of depression so very hard, it just hurt. I began to isolate myself and refused invitations to parties, or any type of social function. In 1997 I did a bodybuilding program with my husband and managed to get down to 145 lbs, which for most people would have spelled VICTORY. I did feel some victory for a while, but it was short lived. Not to long after reaching this milestone goal, I begin to get depressed again, I couldn't sleep, felt tired all the time and was no fun to be around. I ballooned up to 180lbs and went between 150 and 180 until my son was born in 2003. I managed to drop down to 150lbs and felt pretty good. The fatigue was still a problem, and I was still emotionally eating, I basically felt like a big failure in all areas of my life. I began to isolate myself and since I did this a great deal had no friendships or a core of people to lean on for help. I discovered Power 90 during one of my many sleepless nights. I ordered it and started to workout but with no success. I just kept getting sicker, more tired and could barely function. I thought well maybe if I became a Coach that would propel me to lose the weight, which it did and I tried, however my health issues were taking a huge toll on me both mentally and physically.

Finally in October of 2008 I went in for minor surgery, which lead to the discovery of all my fatigue, illness and failures. I had endometriosis so sever that at the young age of 43 years had a complete hysterectomy. Well there is more to this health saga, after that shocker surgery I was still not getting better and had to have another major surgery in February of 2009 to repair a blocked Ureter and save my right kidney. I have been in recovery for six months from this second surgery. My body is getting stronger, I am doing ChaLean Extreme, walking and back to Karate. I am slowly getting my health back, I sleep better, feel refreshed in the morning and am becoming a happier person.

I would have never in a million years believed how one disorder could have upset my whole life, but it did. I now take my days one at a time, I live more in the moment and work on my goals with a renewed since of vitality. I plan to be a personal trainer by next year, a successful Beachbody Coach and realize the joy of helping others achieve their fitness goals. I understand now that one day at a time, one meal at a time and one workout at a time is okay.

That is all you can do each day, however giving up is not an option. This transformation will continue long after these first goals are met, it is a lifelong process and journey. It is one that I am happy to be on.
