I am a stay at home mom. I have three little ones 9, 8, & 6 that I teach at home. I love being able to teach them and see them grow and develop their thinking. I am a believer in Jesus and volunteer at my church in music and children's programs. I keep pretty busy and had let my fitness take a back seat to everything else. I keep pretty busy and had let my fitness take a back seat to everything else. I had always wanted to be in great shape not just thin but thought that I just didn't have the body for it. I have done other workouts that didn't give noticable results. I saw the infomercial that promised the things I wanted in 90 days? I had to try it. I started Power90 in June 2006. Every promise was fulfilled and better than I even dreamed. It has been great. The next challenge is P90X.

I started Power 90 in June 2006. I was 135 lbs and a size 9/10. I was not happy. I felt like I was falling apart -tired all the time, getting heavier and having a harder and harder time losing the weight. When I got the program in the mail I saw that there were many things that had to change not just the excercise. I loved carbs - like bread and sweets and I ate very little protien and veges. Also, my eating habits were if I wanted to lose weight I would skip meals and eat less. I was hesitant about the 5-6 meals a day but decided to go all the way. I followed the eating plan, pushed play, and what a difference! I have energy and I am in better shape than ever before. After Power 90 and Power 90 Master Series, I am now 118 lbs and I wear a size 2. I have never worn a size 2 - in High School I was a size 6. FANTASTIC!!!! I finally can see muscles and I am more flexible than I have ever been. Wow! I never dreamed when I started this that I would get this great of result. I love Power 90 and can't wait to do P90X. . . My husband just bought it for my birthday and is planning on doing it with me. YEAH!
Well, we finished the 90 days of P90X and wow. The results are amazing. The muscle definition and strength is great and it is fun to do. I like all the workouts. I am so happy to say that I can now do 5 pullups on a good day (I started out not being able to do 1). This summer we have gone on several hikes 5+ miles with climbing and all involved - the strength and endurance that has come from doing these workouts is fantastic. I love it! My husbands friends are commenting on my muscle definition - He is so proud of me. :) Also, he is getting ripped and looking fine! I feel great! We will be doing this for life. We are going to start round 2 of P90X Nov 07.
Round 2 was a challenge to finish over the holiday rush. I let it slip a little too much. Keeping the low fat/high protien nutrition plan proved more difficult than I thought. I started to feel sluggish and little tired. There was still improvement but not what it could have been. So now that we are post holiday - we are on to a VERY serious round 3. Bring it!
August '08 - I just can't believe that it just keeps getting better. For my birthday this year, I got P90X+! I am now doing my first round of P90X+. I am also running and did a 7 minute mile last week. I would never have dreamed that I could run that fast. It is all because of the exceptional fitness training of Tony Horton's P90X program. On to higher heights than I ever dreamed. It feels great to keep moving the goals higher. One of these days, I hope to participate in a marathon or triathalon. That is the next higher goal.
May 09 Still going strong alternating P90X and P90X+. And loving it. My Husband and I just took our children on a trip to the Grand Canyon and had the awesome opportunity to hike down to the bottom (7 miles and approx. 5,000 feet elevation drop), stay at Phantom Ranch and then, hike back out the next day (10 miles and approx. 5,000 feet elevation gain). It was fantastic. The strength and endurance gained thru P90 programs has given us the confidence to go and do things that otherwise we might never have attemtped.
