Fort Washington, MD My name is Monique Heyward. I am a 45 year old wife, mother, and GRANDMOTHER! I have always been a sports fanatic, favorite professional team is the DALLAS COWBOYS. My love for sports transitioned into becoming a fitness instructor over 15 years ago. I currently teach several fitness classes five days a week ranging from TurboKick to Spinning. In addition to all of that, I am an Area Promotions Director and Presenter for Powder Blue Productions (creators of TurboKick, TurboJam, PiYo, Hip Hop Hustle, etc.) I love being an APD & Presenter as it allows me to transition my love for those formats and give it to other instructors. I also am a huge fan of P90X and Hip Hop Abs. I would like to hear from anyone who is interested in continuing their journey into fitness and good health. Hello. My name is Monique Heyward and welcome to my Team Beachbody website. I've always been very athletic, loved working out and loved sports (favorite team - DALLAS COWBOYS -YEAH BABY!!). In high school, I became a MOM! My priorities had to change immediately and all of my focus and attention went to supporting my son. No more time for working out or participating in sports. Luckily, I was able to stay within a good weight range, but, I missed working out. Fast forward to life after high school, college, then I got married and soon had my second son. Early in my marriage, my husband was ordered to go to the Gulf War and during that time, to keep my sanity, I started to work out again and have never stopped! I strongly urge anyone reading this post to know that "losing weight" is the easy part - maintaining a healthy lifestyle and keeping the weight off is the challenge. A challenge that everyone can do!
