Hi,
I am 45 years old, married and have two children. I am currently employed by Montgomery County Government coordinating and managing a Department of Justice crime prevention and neighborhood revitalization strategy called the Weed & Seed Program. I spend alot of time working with local police to fight crime and with non-profits connecting families to needed social services in high crime and high poverty communities.
I am a former US Army Captain who was physically fit during his 20's and let things slip during his 30's and early 40's.
Two years ago I adopted a vegetarian diet to try to clean up my body and began working out. In the past I have used Tony Horton's old 90 day program, a total gym, a Gold's Gym treadmill, a spinning cycle, and twisting pushup bars. Last April I injured my rotator cuff so have been spinning and running all summer. Though I have been working out I have been unsatisfied with the results. Now I am ready to get back into working out again with a little more intensity.
I have the P90X program but still want to give my rotator cuff some rest...so I purchased Insanity a few weeks ago because no weights are required. As of today (September 3, 2009) I have completed the first 11 days of the Insanity Training Program and am SERIOUSLY HOOKED to the point where I am blogging daily to all of my facebook friends. I get excited about getting up at 5 a.m. in the morning and "really sweating my butt off"
Unfortunately, alot of my friends aren't into working out or are unwilling to purchase the DVD's and so they keep using the workout regimens they are currently in.
I'm looking for some new friends who can relate to the transformation I am trying to achieve.
I look forward to making some new friends and sharing our personal stories as we journey together.
Warmest regards,
Victor Salazar
