I have a co-worker who is a coach for Teambeachbody. I've been noticing how he has been transforming over the past couple years. He's been getting fitter and appears to be more emotionally stable as well. I recently asked him to show me how he's doing it. He agreed to coach me towards my leaner, healthier body and new attitude. I now realize that I need to make some substantial changes both inside and out in order to be successful. But with God and my family's help, my new coach, and Teambeachbody, I am very excited to get started! The Best is yet to come!! My Progress My Fitness Goal: Transformation Story

I have been battling weight issues for about ten years now. I grew up on a farm in the country with my dad, mom, and four sisters. We raised hogs and chickens, had a big garden with fresh corn, beans, peas, etc. So we have known for a while how it is to have fresh sausage, rice pudding, and bacon. All of those things were not good for us, but back then, you didn’t hear much about FAT. Whether it was good or bad, we just ate it…and boy did I eat! After high school, I was still overweight and I decided to join Weight Watcher's. With that program, I did lose 20 pounds. I was sexy, and had a nice shape with everything in the right places. I loved to go out dancing and just have fun. I could eat at fast food places and not gain weight…those were the good ole days. My mother, grandmother, and sisters all have diabetes, high blood pressure, and weight problems. As for me, I am truly blessed. I don’t have any of these health issues. However, my doctor tells me that I could have high cholesterol. I also suffer from anxiety and am currently taking Effexor XR, which can cause weight gain. My oldest sister just had the Lap Band procedure done and she has lost 30 pounds. However, she is no longer loosing the weight; she’s at a stand still. My mother and my mother-in-law love to cook and bake. Of course, everything is so good. Everything from pies and cakes to fried chicken and barbecued ribs is absolutely delicious. I could go on and on for days just telling you how great everything tastes! When I met my husband, we both were in good shape. He was in the Army and I was maintaining my figure. Life was great! We would go out to eat often, go dancing, and do other things that new lovers do. Then one day, we both realized that we were putting on some weight. Our pants started getting tighter and we were just gaining and gaining the weight. Now, while looking in the mirror, we don’t like what we see. But, I believe it bothers me the most. I can almost hear people talking about me when it's been a while since the last time they have seen me. I get embarrassed and it hurts my feelings. When I gave birth to my first child, I only gained 8 pounds. But, with my second child, I gained 15 pounds. (Needless to say that they are only 21 months apart.) Now, they are 7 and 8 years old and they keep me very busy. So, for the sake of my kids, my family, and myself, I have to take control of my weight. Losing my father to cancer was very hard for me. He didn’t smoke or drink. To me, he was in great shape. I missed him so much and I still miss him. I think that I've been eating his favorite foods just to keep him in my heart; feeding off his loss. I am stronger now but, the pain is still there. I’m no longer eating his favorite foods as much as I used to. Bearing the pain gets easier with each passing day nowing that I am blessed to have had him as my DADDY. I have also been blessed to have met my co-work who is not only my a new friend, but also my TBB coach. BlakeO introduced me to TEAMBEACHBODY and is a great and supportive individual. Any questions that I may have he answers or tries to find the answer for me. My husband and children are also a great support system as well. My husband is more attentive to what he eats and has also joined the local YMCA. My children have even decided to keep active this summer by going to the Y as well and doing Shaun T’s Fit Kid’s Club. Obviously, my family has my back! As a part of my religion and faith, I believe in asking for what you want and what I want is to be leaner and healthier. I believe this will be done and is already in the making. God has blessed me in so many ways and I am ready and willing to receive the blessing good health and fitness as well. Everyday I wake up is a blessing! I want to be there for my husband, children, and family because they are important to me. I look around every day and see that people are dying with heart diseases, obesity, and high blood pressure and that’s not what I want for me. So I took a look at myself and my body inside and out and I know that with the help of TBB, I will make a difference. We all know that actions speak louder than words. So, I am ready for the challenge! Thank you TBB for these first three weeks. I have started doing TURBO JAM'S TOTAL BODY BLAST and I love it! I must say it was hard at first, but I didn’t give up! I am so much stronger spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally. I am committed and determined to go all the way!
