Born and raised in Fort Worth, TX, Damon has always been the most active and athletic member of his family. Activities like dancing, gymnastics, and martial arts helped establish the foundation for what and who he is today. After graduating from high school in 1991 Damon pursued a career as a professional dance choreographer in the entertainment industry. In 1995 Damon pursued a degree in Engineering and graduated from University of Texas at Arlington in 1999. In 1998 Damon gained an interest in putting on more muscle and inquired advice and training tips from Ronnie Coleman (IFBB Pro, Mr. Olympia 1998-present) at Powerhouse Gym in Arlington TX. That year Damon acquired his first personal training certification From the National Academy of Sports Medicine and worked as a personal trainer at Bally Total Fitness where he remained until he graduated from college. After working in the Engineering field for 2 and a half years in Dallas, TX and Portland, OR, Damon returned to Houston, TX where he pursued a career as a Houston Firefighter and also became a Nationally Certified Paramedic and worked as paramedic for the city of Houston for 2 years. As a paramedic Damon realized the value in being proactive in helping people stay healthy. After encountering 13 cardiac arrest patients and able to save 8 of those, Damon decided that this reactive approach wasn’t enough. Even though Damon never stopped training people to meet their physical goals he now saw a more important reason to go at this with all he’s got. “My goal is to instill dedication and persistence through fun and educational fitness routines. I know a lot of people look at my before pic and says it looks like an after pic. I am hardly at my best in the before pic because I wasn't consistant. Beach Body has truly sparked the best in me again. I was wondering if I'd ever get back to ME. Through Beach Body's concept, which is much like my own professional concept, I found that misplaced passion for being at my best. I have to say that I've never experienced supplementation that delivers such rapid results. Yes I work hard in the gym 5-6 days a week but the supplements provided me with the endurance I needed to do that. I can't express enough how important proper nutrition is. I have a very descriminating taste when it comes to nutritional products and these products fit the bill. My energy levels have sky rocketed through the roof to such a point that a 1 hour workout is only warming me up. It's nice to find myself again and be reminded of my true potential. I haven't reached my goals yet. You'll know when I am holding a trophy in my current pic. I feel great and I feel natural. Thanks Beach Body!
