I am a 51 year old management consultant recovering from a motor vehicle accident. I have two adult children and four grandchildren. My first exposure to P90X was through my son who was amazed at his friends results with the program. As a result my son and my daughter-in-law as well as myself now have the P90X program.

It really is an extreme home workout program.

I am determined to regain health, strength and energy as well as slim down. Our bodies are continually regenerating as long as we eat properly and work out. My first introduction to fitness was in my early twenties. I read a magazine article that said if you did not start exercising regularly before you were twenty-five it would be a lot more difficult to start when you were in your sixties and desperately needed it. I immediately enrolled at a gym and never looked back. I have constantly changed the types of exercise throughout the years to stay healthy. I love the variety of routines with P90X and I have never been more challenged. I can't keep up to Tony on everything yet but I know I soon will because the program is designed that way.

My dietary challenges are an intolerance to gluten, dairy, and soy. I love those P90X bars and drinks. The recovery drink is awesome and I love the P90X Peak Health Formula Vitamins.

Transformation Story

After the 28 days of Phase I in P90X I have only seen 1/2 lb of weight loss but that is because I am building muscle. I have seen an overall loss of 5 inches and 1 1/2 % body fat. My resting heart rate went down from 58 to 57 and that was a good rate to begin with. All this while recovering from a car accident. I can't wait to see the results when I can apply myself more fully.

As an added health benefit I have experienced another change. Prior to P90X I have never been able to sweat. No matter how hard I worked my body just did not release toxins that way. This puts a great deal of strain on the lungs and vital organs to release toxins from the body. With P90X I am finally becoming a little bit moist when I work out and I think I even possibly felt a bead of sweat roll down my cheek once. I look forward to the day when I can achieve a full on sweat just like Tony and the women in the DVDs.
