Hello! My name is Dee Dee. I’m a single mother of 5 wonderful children.
Staying fit and healthy is one of my all time goals. It’s important to me to be a
positive role model for my children. I feel by educating them now they will
have the necessary tools as they grow and become adults. I struggled with my

In December 2005 I had baby number 5, I gained over 65 pounds. I figured I
would wait until the doctor “clears” me to start my workout be healthy
regimen. Everything was going good until my 5 year old sat next to me and
said, “mom when am I going to get my skinny mom back, because you already
had the baby and why are you still fluffy?” I didn’t have answer for him. I
didn’t know what to say. I was being plain lazy and using the excuse that I
had a baby. I tried to start eating healthy but like any modern family with
children that’s a hard thing to do. During my pregnancy not only did I
corrupt myself with buying and eating unhealthy snacks and drinks but I did
it to the whole family! I felt bad. I decided I would look for a part-time job to
help financially and spiritually. I totally lucked out when I found a job at
Curves! I was excited and thought wow this is what I need to get started. It
helped make me mobile. (LOL) I started working out. I felt great. BUT I wasn’t
losing any weight. WHY? Portion control!! I figured I’m working out I can eat
whatever I want under the blue moon. I figured, if I ate to much today I will
workout extra hard tomorrow to make up for it. Um, no! that’s doesn’t work. I
read and read and read. I always knew what to do but I didn’t use the tools. I
decided no diet; eat healthy. So with a little hard work, self discipline, and
healthy food choices, the weight finally started to come off! Yes! I have
regained control of my food choices but I also have brought my kids back to
healthy eating habits.

In December 2007, I seen my coach Darcy and she looked FABULOUS! I asked her what she was doing & how she did it. She tuned me into the TeamBeach Body Network & I was HOOKED! I love the music and the workouts and the environment. Keep me positive and moving. They have help me reach the goals I set and stay on track. I'm almost at my all time goal! YEAH BABY! Not only that but I also receive an income for doing what I love.
