Hi there, my name is Derek Ortega and I'm 40 years old. I have had problems with my weight since my mid 20's. When I was 32 I had heard a lot of hurtful comments from my close friends. Constant reminders that I have gained weight. I was at my highest ever, 285lbs. Not wanting to hear the comments any longer, I decided it was time to do something about it. Not wanting to hear the comments any longer, I decided it was time to do something about it. I'd exercise daily and I cut out soda completely. I'd ride my 12-speed bicycle everywhere. I made it down to 215lbs and was quite happy. Starting an office job where every week there would be a party of some sort and all the wrong foods to eat, I found myself gaining the weight back and again hearing comments, this time from co-workers. So all throughout 2008 I was trying to skip meals and would finish the meals my friends wouldn't whenever we'd go to restaurants. I had been off soda for over 5 years and started drinking it again "occasionally". The weight remained. I'd seen the ads for Turbo Jam, Hip Hop Abs and P90, but never made the call since it was hard to decide which to go with. January 2009 I started to exercise daily and on Jan 2nd I ordered Turbo Jam online. I started doing it the day I received it. I immediately opened it and pressed play! I got up and did it just like Chalene says to do. I started this year at 260.5lbs and today, March 7th I am down to 243. My goal is to be at 185 and in the best shape of my life. Thank you Chalene for your incredibly FUN workouts and for the results! I could not be doing this without you and your incredible beachbody site! I am done making excuses and am making this a way of life from 2009 and beyond! Thank you Thank You THANK YOU!!!

Since January 1st 2009, I have exercised at least 4 times a week ( and more recently, 6 days a week! ) I look forward to seeing Chalene and her crew every single day. I make sure to make it happen first thing in the morning, and I find myself more energetic and less sleepy. I have stopped eating fast food, I am off soda once again ( for good this time ), and I have been eating small sensible meals and snacks throughout the day, up to 5 times a day. I am rarely hungry and never have that overstuffed, bloated feeling of being full! I am also watching my calories, and have been making my own juices and smoothies. I am LOVING this! As of March 7th, I have lost 17lbs and I am hoping to be below 200lbs by my 41st birthday in late June. I can't wait to order more of Chalene's dvd's, especially Chalean Extreme! I am definitely sticking to this lifestyle, the results are too good to mess it up this time. Thanks again Chalene and Beachbody team!!!
