Some background info--I moved away from home at the age of 15 to chase my dream of playing Division I college hockey. I attended a small prep school in upstate CT for 2 years, & then moved to Ann Arbor, MI to play for the USA (U-18) National Hockey Team during my Junior & Senior years of high school. Playing for USA was the most incredible opportunity of my life! After my stint with Team USA, I attended University of Notre Dame on a hockey scholarship. So much of the Olympic & collegiate training focused on the idea behind muscle confusion---in my mind, a major selling point for P90X.
As a Team BeachBody Coach, I love the opportunity to help others make the changes I've made. Currently, I'm working to build a network of club members who share my attitude of health, fitness and helping others and are interested in "becoming a Coach." If you wanna join my team, please hit the "email me now" and let me know...I'd be happy to team up in this rewarding cause!

My experience with Million Dollar Body and P90X continues to motivate me as I excel toward higher levels of health and fitness. It all began on May 3rd, 2007—exactly one year prior to my wedding date. Before discovering P90X, my weight had reached an all-time high of 233 pounds and I was more lethargic than ever, carrying 29% body-fat. The typical gym routine and inconsistent cardio workouts were no longer keeping me at a desired level of fitness and state of mind.
For the first time in my life, I was becoming self conscious about my appearance to others. I couldn’t help but look at photos and think “I don’t look like me anymore” or “how did I get so overweight?” I began thinking back to my years as an elite athlete—both on the US (U-18) National Hockey Team along with being a Division 1 player at Notre Dame, and the level of confidence I had during my hockey career. With the genuine desire to make a physical change, along with motivation driven by an upcoming wedding, I was ready. The primary obstacle was my mindset regarding workout programs, diets and quick results. I believed that in order to achieve stronger results in both body and mind, I would have to invest in a personal trainer or spend double the amount of time at my local gym. Never did I think I could achieve what I deemed impossible in my home or while away on business.
After a chance meeting while flying on business with a former football player utilizing P90X, I realized there was a potentially better option for me. Once hearing about the similarities to his training as a former athlete and the convenience of doing the workouts at home or in hotel rooms, I was intrigued. The secondary obstacle was my skepticism toward DVD workouts. I believed that working out at home without professional equipment would never get me to my desired level of results and significant change.
Between the fitness and nutritional components of P90X, I have reached a level that I originally thought was unattainable. The initial 30 days of P90X was what I called the “adaptation phase”—mainly because I was in the process of new workouts, muscle soreness and dietary modification. Phase 2 was a breakthrough month due to less muscle soreness and acquiring a better understanding of the exercises and how to “bring it.” The Day 60 photos blew me away and were visual proof that I had accelerated my development and reached my original goals 30 days in advance. Finally, Phase 3 took me to a level that I never thought was possible and it was obvious that the science behind muscle confusion had completely transformed my body.
However, more important than physical change, my state of mind toward exercise and diet has also changed dramatically. The nutritional guide simplified what others have typically “overcomplicated” through self-serving mass market diets and media frenzy. I began to realize the value of integrating P90X with healthy dietary discipline to maintain a lifetime of fitness, confidence and long-term results.
Now that I’ve reached this level of fitness and confidence, I have no doubt that I will continue to maintain these results throughout my life. I can’t imagine ever going back to the person I was on Day 1. I’d like to offer my sincere thanks to MDB, Team Beach Body and Tony Horton for developing and bringing P90X and P90X+ to the public. They are by far the most well designed and results-driven fitness programs I have ever encountered.
