Hello, I'm Bob Pierson, I grew up the oldest of 4 children in a single mom household. Although I was raised by my mom & gramma I very early on found a love of sports and spent my summers playing baseball, which is my first love, and falls playing football. When I got to the high school level I quickly found that a 98 lb. freshmen was at a decided disadvantage and stopped playing football after that season and never did break into the varsity playing baseball, unfortunately it seems loving the game doesn't make you good at it!! That experience started something in me that I could never shake, the fear and dread of being the "skinny guy". My greatest fear is being that skinny little old man with a walker! I got into bodybuilding with some friends and made some great strength and weight gains but unfortunately couldn't gain consistency and sort of fell away from it. I met my lovely bride about that time and we did what all young couples do;had kids and worked to support them with no time or energy left for personal fitness.
Then my son fell in love with the game I loved so much(but he was good at it!!) When he showed an interest in training for size and strength it rekindled the passion I once had for training except now I was operating as his trainer. When he went off to play college baseball my lovely wife and I decided to join a contest(Bodyforlife)and we did incredibly well with her losing 60 lbs. and me gaining 20,most of which was muscle. Then without any support we quickly slipped back into our old habits and lost all our gains and more.
Last year someone asked me if I had been sick because he said I had lost a lot of weight!Alarmed I weighed myself when I got home and was down to 139 lbs! I knew I had to change and joined a gym and got back to 150 the fell back into the same old pattern. Then Garret called with an opportunity to regain my health and welness with an incredible support group and it was like WOW what great timing. I am now very excited about regaining my passion for health & fitness and also elated to have inspired my lovely wife to begin her transformation.
I know that with the incredible expertise & support of the Beachbody system we will together regain our youthful energy & look forward to helping many others regain theirs!!!
