I transferred from Active Duty to the Reserves in 1995 and have been in the AF Reserves ever since. I currently work for a University in Greenville (guess which one). I love chatting with people online, riding my motorcycle, martial arts, working out.

Ok I’m a reformed couch potato. Admittedly I’m lazy, but my job in the reserves and most of my hobbies require me to be in shape so what did I do? I worked my rear end off to get into shape and I found out that I like it a lot more. My story actually starts when I was young. I was actually blessed with a small frame. I was the type of kid that could eat anything, not exercise and still stay skinny (I know the kid that everyone hates). This was a blessing and a curse at the same time, since I was well in my late 20’s before I realized that I was not in good shape. Well by this time the small frame wasn’t so small anymore. I was almost put on the Air Force’s “Fat Boy Program” the only thing that saved me was that I took a leave of absents (I quit the reserves for 5 years before rejoining). Well this close call woke me up, so I started dieting. I still wasn’t exercising but I was able to go from almost 200 to 170 without too much work. I just changed my eating style and cut back a lot on the sugary soft drinks. Now I’m working out every day. I’ve took up Karate and Judo a few years ago, I recently graduated from Power 90 and P90X. I started P90X Plus October 20 2008 and it's tough (in a good way). Since I started working out I’m down to 160 lbs and am actually starting to see my 6 pack again (well you have to look but it’s starting to show up again). I'd like to drop another 5 lbs but I'm more conserned with my body fat%. I’m also feeling 1000% better. My arthritis doesn’t bother me like it used to. I’ve still got some issues that were caused by a poor lifestyle but I’m finding that most don’t bother me as much as they used to. Now I’m convinced that getting in shape, and staying in shape was the best decision that I’ve made in a long time. I’m committed to stay that way. So who wants to join me?
