I work in the Animal Care field, and even surround myself with animals at home (3 cats, 5 geckos and 1 snake). I've always been a bit sedentary throughout my adult years, and glad to be getting off the couch and getting buffed! I guess turning 40-something does that to a person! I recently lost quite a lot of weight (down 4 sizes all together!), and need to get fit again.

I started with Million Dollar Body (then Beach Body) in the spring of 2005 with Power 90 with which I was thoroughly impressed. I eventually felt like a bit of a change (I get bored easily), so I decided to try Turbo Jam. And I loved it! I love the "danceable" factor of it, and Chalene's enthusiasm is so contagious! Because I love the danceability factor and I needed to shake things up again, I decided to try Hip Hop Abs, too! Also a fantastic workout! Sean T kicked my ABS!
For those that are like me and get bored easily with the same ol' thing, I definitely recommend doing what I did and get a few different workouts so that you can change things up a bit. I also find that it keeps me from plateauing when I've got a bunch of different routines to do. I think my muscles often don't know what hit them, and it keeps them from getting too used to one thing. It also makes things a lot more fun! And - as we all know - if you're not enjoying your workout, you're not going to continue for long. Getting a great body and keeping it that way is about changing your whole lifestyle - and is it ever worth it!!
I'm 44, and I've never been in as good a shape as I am now. For the first time in my life, I'm looking forward to bikini season, as I can just imagine what I'll look like in another month or two! And I can't get enough of my workouts! Even on the days I don't feel much like doing it, once I start, I feel SOOO much better, not to mention the feeling of accomplishment when I'm done. I've also noticed my improved fitness in every day life! I'm much more flexible and more agile. I'm also stronger - those pickle jars are no problem now! Getting fit isn't just about looking good - it improves your life in all kinds of ways! I also sleep better and get sick less often. I haven't eaten fast food in months, and I sure don't miss it (well, maybe I cheat on french fries now and again, but at least I don't "pig out" on them any more).
Thanks to all the trainers at Million Dollar Body. Tony, Chalene and Sean T, you've all made transforming my body from flab to fab easy and fun! And I'm going to continue for the rest of my life!
**update January 2009**
I was out of the "loop" for quite some time, and didn't work out for about 8 months. But, I'm back and raring to go! Finally did my first workout in all that time, and really, really enjoyed it! It seems that my body has not forgotten all the work it did before my hiatus, and the workouts are easier than I had thought they were going to be after such a long absence! So for all of you that are afraid of getting back into it again after a long break, DON'T BE!
