With my experience and training and your desire, we can be a dynamic team and achieve your fitness goals. I am a 41-year-old married woman who has been playing the role of a technical professional for most of my adult working life. Despite my technical career, I certified in personal training and massage therapy because have always been passionate about helping people with whatever challenges them; be it nutrition, body mechanics, working out properly, healthy life style decisions, etc. When I was young I had the opposite problem of most people. I had to work out to gain weight, otherwise I was made fun of for being too skinny and people tried to label me as anorexic. Skinny was actually a somewhat negative trait in my family. My aunt has a pacemaker due to a lack of muscle around her heart. My sister had her lungs collapse 4 times due to a lack of weight and muscle tone before I was 18-years-old. I learned early on that I would need to be fit to be healthy. I was pursuing a technical career, but I always felt something was missing. I didn't feel I was contributing to society in any way. So in 1996 I decided to certify as a massage therapist so that I could help people feel good, heal injuries and just relax and be healthy. When my husband at the time lost his job, I had to go back to the corporate world. A few years later the same 'lacking' feeling was still hounding me. I then decided to certify as a Personal Trainer so that I could really make a difference and help people in an even more productive way. I wanted to coach them on their life style, not just sooth their aches or teach them how to properly life a barbell. So I focused on the whole package; nutrition, physical fitness and even relaxation techniques. I met great people and changed lives, but unfortunately I had to go back to the corporate wheel to sustain a living. My body may be in the corporate world but my mind, spirit and passion are in fitness coaching. I find that I am ‘coaching’ people when I don’t even realize it from helping my friends with proper body mechanics to helping coworkers learn how to read labels. About three years ago I started feeling unhealthy. Even though I hadn’t changed any of my fitness routines, I was just extremely exhausted all the time and constantly sick. After several doctors and lots of tests it was found that I have Celiac Disease as well as allergies to 18 different foods. The healing process and weakness that came from this took me to my weakest point ever. I wasn’t able to work out for over two years and my muscle tone was all but gone. During this time I have done tons of research and found strategies that work for my condition and finally got back my gym just in time for them to close down. During this frustration is when I happened upon Team Beach Body. I got a tingle that this could be the answer I was looking for. Then after speaking to Susan Meyer and Monica Ward I knew this opportunity was what I needed to focus my passion for fitness and eventually leave the corporate monster. I would be surrounded by an entire network of people that are just as energetic about health and healthy living as I am while at the same time helping new people to reach their fitness goals. Coaching really is an attitude and act of giving. I’d love to hear from you. Six years ago I was at the height of fitness. My stats were 34 x 27 x 34. My fat % was 12 and I could run uphill without being winded. Then I started getting 'sick' as I call it. I was lethargic, exhausted, cloudy, confused, itchy, bloated, gassy, and in pain most of the time. I just had really wierd issues going on that didn't seem to relate to each other. Several doctors and two surgeries later I finally was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and 18 food allergies. I haven't been to the gym in over two years and my body shows it. I may be skinny, but like I would tell my friends, "I'm the most unhealthy skinny person you'll ever meet." I have finally gotten most of my condition under control and started going back the gym. Results aren't coming as fast as I would like them to and I need a kick start. So Team Beachbody is my inspiration. I want to gain at least 5 lbs of muscle weight and resculpt my abs, hips and thighs back to what they were before I had to stop working out...and I want it fast! :-) Programs Meal plan: Your current meal plan is: 2,000 Calorie Vegetarian Balanced Slim Down Workout programs: P90X® - primary program Great Body Guaranteed!™ Insanity™ Running / Walking Cardio / Aerobics Yoga / Pilates Weightlifting Biking Gear: Resistance Bands Supplements: ActiVit® Multi-Vitamins Whey Protein Powder Total Health Women's Formula | ||||||||
