Before discovering Beachbody, I was 25lbs over my ideal weight, exhausted, overstressed, depressed, faced severe migraines, had a hard time sleeping at night and wasn't eating healthy.
In my younger days, I was always comforted by family and friends, “You Don’t Need to Lose Weight, You Look Just Right for Your Height”! Although, the words of my dearest loved ones was supportive but I didn’t feel ‘Just Right”! I had always carried around an extra 25lbs throughout my life as a teenager and in high school. There were periods in my life where my weight would fluctuate between 10-15lbs with my experiences in the trend of 'Fad Diets' but I could never seem to get below my ideal weight. I was involved with sports in high school and once the college years came and gone, I wasn’t physically active as I had been and those extra pounds kept creeping up. It was the college lifestyle…pizza and beer!! After college, I became focused on my career, overstressed, dedicated to my job, but not dedicated to me, my health or well being. My career in the Food & Beverage Industry didn’t help my eating fancy as I was always surrounded by silver platters of decadent deliciousness! HEAVENLY FOOD!
I was the overweight girl with the shiny plastic gym membership keycard, barely used the membership but once every so often. I was literally wasting money every month for a gym membership that I had no motivation to use let alone drive there in order to wait to use the weight machines and elliptical trainer.
Late one night, I caught the P90X infomercial on TV. It GUARANTEED RESULTS and there were actual people with real results and success stories. I decided to buy the program and joined as a CLUB MEMBER to PLAY the Million Dollar Body Game! I have lost 25 lbs, down from a size 14 to a size 6 and my migraines have almost diminished. I’m feeling in the best shape of my life, eating healthy foods, and have more energy than ever! I’m currently training for a ½ Marathon this July with a goal of 8 lbs more to slim down before the race! My motivation to keep pushing play and my hope that I have inspired someone else to begin their journey in a healthy lifestyle is encouraging. Thank you Beachbody!!! I HEART You Tony Horton! Decide. My results were rewarding from P90X and my other favorites in the Team Beachbody Library, including P90X, Turbo Jam, 10-Minute Trainer, Tony Horton One on One. I have been able to maintain my weight and look forward to another round of the X! Join me, Let's BRING IT!
