On March 16, 2009 I sat down on the sofa, all 260 pounds of me to watch television and snack on something. I couldn't find anything so I began to surf around looking and came across the P90X More...
On March 16, 2009 I sat down on the sofa, all 260 pounds of me to watch television and snack on something. I couldn't find anything so I began to surf around looking and came across the P90X infomercial. Now, I am not one to pay attention to them because they all seem to be such scams. There was something different in this one; it caught my attention immediately. The things Tony was mentioning in how and why he developed this program and the testimonials struck a chord with me. I was not alway that bad physically. In my mid to late 20s I was actually in very good physical condition. I lifted weights at the gym 2 hours 6 days and ran at least 2 miles 3 days a week. By the time I entered my mid 30s, however I let myself go and go I did. I ended up on all the "fat" man medication. High blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes and on my way to certain heart disease. The blessing is I put my trust in Jesus to give me the strength to not quit and determined that I would follow the P90X program as well as I possibly could. The short of it is in about 2 months I lost 30 pounds and the doctor took me off all the medication. I finished my first round of the X, took a week where I only did light stretching and Yoga, then immediately began round 2. I am now starting phase 2 of my second round and have gone from 260 pounds to 202 pounds. I feel healthy, fit, energetic, and enjoy more than I have in such a long time. Thank you Jesus!
