Looking back on the past 25 years of my life I now see a pattern. I grew up as a chubby pre-teen and then thinned out in high school. Upon entering college I put on the freshman 15 – 20 and didn’t really thin out again until I started working after graduation. I met my now husband a few years after graduation and as we become a couple I slowly put on a few pounds again. I was able to thin back down for our wedding but after having kids I could never get back to my pre-marriage size 8. That was all BEFORE Beachbody.


**I am now 3 sizes smaller than I was the day I got married.**


After I had my first child I was a size 10 and then after subsequent kids I was always able to get back to a size 10. Funny thing is, I never thought twice about my size, I just accepted it as the way things were going to be.


Although I longed to be fit, I now realize I never fully committed to it. I would go to the gym once or twice a week, take a spinning class here and there but I NEVER saw the kind of results I have seen with Power 90.


People ask me what is different about these home videos. I tell them how effective the workouts are and how at 30 minutes I can fit them into my busy schedule doing them at home while my youngest naps. Once I fit Power 90 into my routine, it was easy to make the decision to workout 6 days/week. I committed to it and I saw amazing results.


I encountered many challenges along the way. In fact, there were some days when I didn’t want to press play at all. I won’t tell anyone it was easy. If it were, how could it be so effective? When I began Power 90 I remember how I could barely do the cardio day. Imagine my surprise after a few months of Power 90 when I hit the pavement and I could run for 25 minutes without stopping (before Power 90 I could barely run 5 minutes without stopping). I had a hard time with many of the sculpt exercises as well. But, I loved watching my progression and realizing the strength I was building. Recently I went wake boarding, if you had asked me to try that a year ago I would have never imagined it possible.


As I saw my initial results (slimming to a size 8 and dropping 21 lbs) I became even more committed and the fun really began. I explored the Beachbody website and began to take advantage of the messages boards and WOWY. I started wanting to eat better and be healthy. I began taking supplements and I even built up the courage to try P90X. I love P90X as much if not more than I love Power 90, although fitting it into my day is more of a challenge (a welcome challenge of course).


Over the past 2 years I have lost 35 lbs and 40 inches AND I am in the best shape of my life. It is hard for me to believe that at 39 and after having 3 children I look and feel the way I do. A BIG thanks to Beachbody and Tony Horton for changing my life!
