Hi,

My name is Teresa. I am a 47 yr old, married with a 6 yr old daughter. I started my fitness journey is 2002/2003, after my daughter was born and lost 60 pounds so far. I am almost at my goal weight and only need 15 more to go. I am hoping that by mixing things up and staying away from sugar(my biggest problem) along with a healthy diet I can reach my new goals!

Funny how things come back to haunt you. I've had scoliosis since I was a little child and the doctor told me that I should be fine, but that if I don't take care of myself and continue to exercise my whole life I can wake up one morning and not be able to walk! I thought, way back then, that could never happen to me, I'm too young for that. Well, it almost came true....I remember driving to work one more crying because I was in so much pain in my shoulders and right hip that I could barely turn my neck and felt like little shots of something was creeping up my right leg. I thought to myself...wow I guess the doctor was right...Because I was crying so hard....I missed my exit turn! I had to turn around and take another 15 minutes to get to work. From that morning forward I vowed I would get off the medication, stop my pain and start walking and exercising again. That first week was pretty tough. I remember barely able to do 10 minutes of exercise without huffing and puffing and giving up so easily! I felt defeated and at a loss and I only just begun. It's been years since I exercised. Then I saw the informercial about slim in 6 and thought to myself....hey, I can do that. The price is pretty affordable too. I ordered the program and diligently started using it. To my surprise the weight started coming of little by little...I lost 25 pounds at first. Even though it took me longer to do the 6 week program. I did it in 9 weeks because I was so out of shape.

After SI6, I did SS and lost another 15 pounds just like that and I felt stronger than I have in years. I really learned a lot about nutrition and taking care of my body. Since I lost my weight a little at a time, I knew what to do when I gained some back. I am happy to report that I've been off the medication ever since and am pain free. I lost over 60 pounds and plan to loose my last 15 once and for all.

My goal is to be a great role model for my daughter who is 6 years old. Currently, I am doing a mixture of things and that seems to be working pretty well. I am doing SS, P90X and Turbo Jam.
