Hello or Welcome back to my transformation story … boy at the rate I’m going it’s more like, “transformation saga” (smile) However, I am not complaining because I am back on track YEAH! In October I really dug my heels in with my workouts and only missed 5 days out of 31 and so far the month of November is looking just as good! Like I said last month one of my goals was to “get addicted” to working out and I believe I have achieved that! I really was stuck on that number on the scale because the numbers were not going down they seem to be creeping up. In September I hit my all time high of 166 lbs and 27% body fat (Yuck!) and my emergency jeans (meaning my fat pants) barely fit and I couldn’t even button up the last two buttons – OUCH. That’s when I decided to mix things up with a little bit of P90X, Slim in 6 and one hour hikes in the foothills with my dog. First off if you haven’t worked out with Mr. Tony Horton then you are missing out on an amazing and fun workout. Tony makes you feel like he’s workout with “you” and he is so great at keeping you engaged through the entire session. My favorite quote “Do your best, forget the rest!” He keeps it REAL and if you like boot camp and are not into any kind of fancy foot work then P90X Extreme Home Fitness System is for YOU my friends! I also realized that I needed to be doing at least 60 minutes of exercise 5 to 6 days a week. I know that sounds extreme but I am 43 and on a mission here and guess what? It’s paying off for me because as of this morning (11/13/07) I weigh 152 lbs and my body fat has gone down to 20% (BIG Smile) So far I have lost 14 lbs and 7% body fat! So I still have another 12 to 17 lbs to go for me to hit my goal of 135 to 140 lbs ... I would so love to fit into a size 8 pant and have it be loose. I still have to modify most of my workouts because of neck and knee issues from being rear-ended twice in one year but that’s another great point to make here on Million Dollar Body’s Fitness Programs. With every workout program I have done with Tony Horton’s (P90, P90X & Tony and the Folks) and Debbie Siebers (Slim in 6) they do such an excellent job of teaching me how to listen to my body and they showed me “how to” modify my moves. That was really important for me because when I re-started my workouts in September I hurt everywhere and realized I needed to become the Queen of modification. So if you are reading this and have similar issues PLEASE don’t be discouraged because you may not have the results you want in your first 30 days just stick with it and the results will come I promise and MDB guarantees it! Believe me when I tell you that this whole “fitness” thing and working out and and eating right and getting “healthy” thing is not about a 30, 60, 90 day program … It’s a lifetime thing that we should all embrace and it’s not just about the physical transformation but also the emotional transformation.
