I have 2 wonderful children: Samantha 8 and Skyler 5. Today (May 28th, 2008) is my 9th anniversary to my wonderful but wacky husband. We were both in the Army stationed in Hawaii, I was 21 and John was 20. We had only dated 2 weeks when we got married. It was defiantly love at first site for us. I was in great shape (I thought so at the time) since I was in the Army and doing PT all the time. I got pregnant shortly after we got married. I was still very active during my pregnancy. I still ran until I was 6-7 months pregnant with Sammie and I still did PT every morning. I loved to run back then and it really killed me when I could not run anymore but I had to stop so I would not hurt Sammie. After I had Sammie, in 2000, I really didn’t do much of any exercising. I still looked great and since we had moved from Hawaii to Ohio we were just too busy. I had weighed 136 when I had Sammie but my starting weight was 106 then after I had Sammie I went back down to 108 in just days of having her. We had only lived in Ohio for a few months when we decided to move to Texas. I still did nothing besides run after Sammie all day. In 2001, I got pregnant again with my son Skyler. I was not nearly as active during my pregnancy with him as I was with Sammie but I was still in rather good shape before I got pregnant with him. My weight was exactly the same with Skyler as it was with Sammie but after I had Skyler my skin had been stretched out more. I was still small but my body was not toned anymore. Besides being pregnant I have never weighed more than 110 pounds. I always wanted to get to 110 so I could donate blood but even when I did get there for about a month they said I was still too small so I have never been able to donate blood. I had worked at a bank for almost 4 yrs when I decided to be a stay home mom. It was in 2004 and Sammie was getting ready to start Pre-K. But me being a stay home mom also meant that I would be volunteering a lot of my time. I started coaching Sammie’s soccer team in the fall of 2004 and I am still coaching her team today. About 2 season into soccer (we play every fall and spring) I was asked to be a member of the soccer board so I said I would. It is another volunteer job;-) I am the Preschool Director for the league. My job requires me to be in charge of 60+ teams which equals to 120 coaches and 360 players. I form all the teams, train the coaches, and I am their point of contact through the whole season. I have to be at the fields every Sat to make sure my Preschool games go smoothly and that everyone is following the rules. In 2006, I started coaching my son’s soccer team too. So now I am coaching both their teams. I just got finished coaching both of their basketball teams too. That was a little different for me but I had fun. Last fall I was voted in to be on the Parks and Rec community for the Live Oak City Council. My job with that is to help out with a various activities that we do throughout the year. Most of the events are for kids so my kids get to enjoy all those. I have always volunteered in the kids’ classrooms. I go in about 3 days a week to help the teachers with making copies and tutoring the kids when needed. I have enjoyed doing that so much that I have recently been hired on for a local school district to be a substitute teacher. I only work on days that my kids do not have anything going on at school and when I am needed in their classrooms. I love to stay busy but don’t get me wrong I love my down time too. With doing all this, my workouts really consisted of running the kids around. I would try to run and do as much as I could with the kids at soccer so I would get some kind of exercise but it was never enough. I have had gym memberships but would hardly use them since I never seemed to have the time to get to the gym and when I did there would always be a wait for the machines that I would use. I just got to the point that I did not go anymore. And that is where my P90X journey begins;-) My Progress My Fitness Goal: Transformation Story
