I've been a member of Beachbody since 2000. My first introduction to Beachbody was with Slim in 6. I made it through the first 4 weeks, saw some results and then I tapered off. Then I fell off the workout circuit for about a year until I reached my all time high weight of 150 lbs and 36% body fat. I'm only 5'2" so 150 lbs. officially put me in the obese category. I ran to my nearest LA Weight Loss center and ended up getting down to 125, but I didn't exercise at all (horrors!)throughout the program. I was smaller, but I was flabby and soft. I kept the weight off for a year until the holidays of 2003. Oh, the holidays! I gained back 10 lbs in about 2 months. Over the next 2 years, I managed to keep my weight around 135 but I was never happy. I didn't look lean and I still had too much body fat! In 2005, I ordered Power 90 and saw my body shape change, but I still wasn't eating right. At that time, I still hadn't made the connection between eating clean and working out consistently. For me, it was one or the other and my results weren't dramatic. Fast forward to the beginning of 2006 and my weight was starting to creep up again. I finally had a light bulb moment. Maybe if I worked out consistently AND cut back cut back on my calories, I might loose weight! Cha ching! I started the Advanced Rip You Up Turbo Jam rotation that Chalene posted on the message boards and I followed the Nutrisystem program. Amazingly enough, my body began to get leaner and leaner in just 4 weeks. At the end of the rotation, I had lost 6 lbs and I was down to 29% body fat AND I had fun doing it. I went on vacation in May and the bathing suit that I had been wearing for years was too big! Success! Not quite. I got comfortable and fell back into my old habits of eating bad food. On top of that, I was working in Austin, TX and I have a soft spot for Tex Mex. I took my Turbo Jam workouts with me and worked out in the hotel diligently so I didn't gain as much weight as I probably would have if I wasn't working out, but I pretty much ate my way through Austin for 5 months. When I returned home, I thought I would take a break from Turbo Jam and try a different workout. Boy was that a dumb mistake. I was bored out of my mind!! Turbo Jam is the only workout that keeps me laughing and smiling through the whole thing. 12/29/08 -Since I love Chalene Johnson, I am starting ChaLean Extreme today! I love the new packaging and the meals that I've created are yummy and quick to prepare.
