It has been 13 years since I would claim I was "in shape". Each year I tell myself I'm going to do better, I'm going to get motivated and disciplined and get on a program but I haven't. I'm over 40 and the pounds come on so easily now which effects my daily life. I need help to do this.

Transformation Story

I began on Monday, August 18, 2009 after during a visit to my mother's small town I stepped on her scale to see it read 175!

I began on Monday, August 18, 2009 after during a visit to my mother's small town I stepped on her scale to see it read 175!

I have lost 22 pounds since then by cutting out nearly all the white stuff: white flour, white sugar, white rice and white pasta. I have also eliminated most breads - even whole wheat.

Although weight loss is important as I want to reach a healthy weight of 125-135 my overall health, tone and strength will determine the final number. Inches and a firm, strong body is most important to me.

Ideally by Christmas I will be looking and feeling pretty terrific and by March 2010 I will be at my goal. Then it's about staying there cause I never want to go down this road again. It's too tough.
