Las Vegas, NV I am a 45 year old man. About 2 months ago, I had some chest pains. Never had that before, so I was more than a little nervous. After two days in the hospital, and every cardiac test known to medical science, it was determined that my chest pain was not cardiac. What a relief! But I feel that I still have a clock ticking away. My father passed away when he was 53, and I look exactly like him. I I am a 45 year old man. About 2 months ago, I had some chest pains. Never had that before, so I was more than a little nervous. After two days in the hospital, and every cardiac test known to medical science, it was determined that my chest pain was not cardiac. What a relief! But I feel that I still have a clock ticking away. My father passed away when he was 53, and I look exactly like him. I have a choice, 8 more years the way I am going, or make some changes and live longer. The decision, well I'm still contributing to my 401(k).
I started Team Beachbody at 221 pounds. My waist is 40", but I am managing to wear size 38 pants. I think the garment industry is adjusting their sizes to everyone's growing size.
I want to be at my goal weight of 170 pounds by my next birthday, which is in April. That gives me 8 months to lose 51 pounds, which is quite doable.

I am a work in progress. Since I have started using Beachbody, I have gotten rid of 23 pounds. I won't say lost, because if you lose something, you can find it again.
I've already had to start buying smaller clothes. I feel better, I sleep better, and I have more energy.
I am finally out of the 2's, and I am at 198 pounds. My next short term goal is 190, with my final goal at 165-170.
I am currently using Slim in 6! I on week 4, Burn it Up! After Si6, my goal is to move up to P90X.
**UPDATE** October 21, 2009
I have gotten rid of 31 pounds total so far. I am now using P90X Lean, to get rid of the last of the fat. I now weigh 190 pounds, and I am wearing a size 34.
I'm sticking with P90X for a while. After this round, I will be starting over with the Core version. That's my workout plan for the next 6 months.

10/17/09 I did it! I completed the 6 weeks of Slim in 6! 36 workouts total.
