I am doing this for a man. Well, 3 men to be exact....

I'm 28-years-old, 5' 11".... and I weigh almost 300 pounds. I often look in the mirror and think, “How did you get like this?” Well, after 10 years of sitting at a desk, giving birth to 3 babies, never exercising and eating like crap.... this could be you, too!

I've always been a “big” girl.... but in high school I was gorgeous; a little overweight, but very healthy and athletic. I was on the Track & Field team, the Volleyball team and I did church Softball. I worked out 5 days a week and looked amazing! My legs and hips have always been on the big side (I'm a pear-shape).... but I would go to school in halter-tops, showing off my awesome abs and strutting my stuff!

Today, I'm a 3X (24/26) and I hate myself. I look pregnant (even though I gave birth 2+ years ago). Frankly, I'm disgusted by myself and cannot stand the image staring back at me in the mirror. Why haven't I done something, anything, sooner? Like most people, I'm lazy; plain and simple. I would rather ignore the problem than do anything. Here's what is wrong with ignoring the problem....

I have had major digestive problems for almost 2 years. Basically, anything and everything would go right through me. Like always, I ignored it. In February 2009, I was taken by ambulance to the hospital, thinking I was having a heart attack. In reality, my symptoms were the result of a nearly septic gallbladder. I had to have emergency surgery to have it removed.

Ever since the surgery, my digestion has improved (slowly), but I haven't changed my eating habits one bit. In fact, I gained more weight! It was only after a good friend told me, “You need to be around to see him graduate!” (gesturing to my 2-year-old). That's when I realized....

I don't want to be a 35-year-old heart attack victim. I don't want to hit 400 pounds and have my stomach stapled. And I don't want my boys to grow up without a Mom. They are my motivation. My boys are my life and I couldn't imagine life without them.
