I have always carried around a spare tire or at least as long as I can remember. About 15 years ago, I decided that it had to go, so I began a diet and exercise routine that seemed to fit perfectly with my lifestyle. I felt good about myself after I lost about 40 or 50 pounds. And I was sure that I could maintain it for the rest of my life.

Then I changed jobs and before I knew it I was

I began Round 1 of Power 90 back in March. It was a GREAT success! I lost over 30 pounds and many inches. When I completed the first 90 days, I decided to take a short break from Power 90 and therefore took the summer months off from working out with Tony. I still am maintaining a regular workout schedule and use several of Kathy's Smith's videos to keep myself active. I am planning to begin Round 2 of Power 90 on September 1st. My new goal is to get below 200 pounds by my birthday (Nov. 26th) and I know that I will do it!

I am stronger and healthier than I have been in a long, long time. And I still find it so very hard to believe that I allowed myself to get to nearly 300 pounds. I will NEVER be that fat again!

9/4/04

I've begun Round 2 and so far, I've been whooped! I expected to be to get right back into the swing of it without any problems (or pain). But suprise, suprise!

I started with both Phase 1/2 discs. I felt for sure that I would be able to do those for about a week and then move into Phase 3/4. Afterall, I did not stop my workouts during the 2 month hiatus. In fact, in many ways I worked out harder and longer each day. I did mostly cardio with the occasional strength training workouts thrown in for good measure.

But Cardio 1/2 (at the least the first half) left me nearly breathless for most of it. The kicking and punching was easier, I suspect because I did some kickboxing workouts over the summer. The Circuit 1/2 felt like it was moving too slowly, but I tried to keep the same pace as Tony. The next day my gluts, hamstrings and quads were talking back to me and my abs were still struggling from the previous day. Don't get me wrong it's a good pain, but I thought for sure I would be able to get right back into things.

I guess that I will be listening to my body before moving onto Phase 3/4 vs. listening to my brain that says a week should give me enough time to get back into it.

I posted my "new" before picture alongside my first before picture today. I almost can't believe that the first one is actually me a few months ago. Of the (3) view the front view is the yukky one for me. The side and back views are amazing. I LOVE this program and my results speak for themselves.
