All my life I've been very skinny. Going through middle school I was taught at home. I didn't get into public school until I was started high school. I never did any sports because I didn't want to do them. I thought they were stupid. Since I wasn't required to do any I didn't. But sophomore year, I was awarded a scholarship to a high class private school. Sports and physical fitness were a requirement there. At first I didn't like the idea of being "forced" to participate in a sport. But my outlook soon changed.
It was here I learned my love of strength, fitness, and health. I became involved in strength training, cross-country, swimming, and track. But by far, the one I took a liking to most was swimming. I excelled at it. I couldn't get enough of it. But because I did it so much I never gained a pound.
Now that I've graduated high school, I've started college and I'm planning to join my school's swim team. The only problem is I'm still small. (5'10"/125lbs) I've tried putting on weight by eating anything and everything but I'm sure, by reading the P90X nutrition guide, that most of what I eat won't do the trick. I'm still very active but eating becomes my one weakness. It seems that work-outs are second nature to me but I'm no chef. The fact that I'm just starting college doesn't help either. I have neither the time nor the money to invest in eating on par with what Tony wants. But believe me I'm trying.
So this is my attempt. I've done (or tried to do) P90X before but my lazy side always gets the best of me. Skipping one day turns into two and that turns into a week and so on. But this time I'm doing my best to get in shape and put some muscle on for the winter season.
