Back to April 2007. I turned 40 years old on May 6 of the same year and I wasn't where I thought I would be at that age. I was in the worst shape of my life both physically and mentally. I turned 40 years old on May 6 of the same year and I wasn't where I thought I would be at that age. I was in the worst shape of my life both physically and mentally. For some strange reason I was thinking about the things I needed to do in order to get myself back on track - I wasn't thinking fitness - and believe it or not I thought this "I need to take the steps to commit to achieve change in order to succeed on this endeavor". Lo and behold the infomercial came in: P90X Decide, Commit, Succeed. Weird I thought, but that's exactly what I need to do to get my life back. Decide to do it, commit to this challenge and succeed to get them back. But what about my body? I can do that too! So that day I ordered both Power 90 and P90X. The process wasn't easy but I think that the constant motivation and discipline instilled by Tony Horton started to sink. I did Power 90 for 12 weeks on a different way: 4 weeks level 1-2 4 weeks level 3-4 4 weeks Master Series level 5-6 Then I jumped right into P90X. But for me the most amazing thing was that I learned to apply all that discipline and BRING IT attitude to life in general. I learned to BRING IT on a personal level with the same intensity that I do when working out with Tony and the kids. I learned to be a better father to my 4 year old son, and I can proudly say that thanks to Plyo I have more than enough stamina to play with him until he's the one to say "Dad, let's go, I'm tired". I love him dearly and I want to be here for him forever, and the way I was physically; I would have died way to soon. From Tony Horton I learned that we need to develop a strong Intrinsic motivation by realizing that the rewards that we are getting for our actions are bigger than any pain or discomfort we might experience during our journey. We need to do it for ourselves and endure the hardships. In the end we will be victorious. But how do we get to that point, the point where we are our own motivators with an iron will? Well we start by being motivated on a vicarious way - by observing others, adopting role models, trying to understand that we too can get those results. When we do that we increase our awareness of the benefits of what we are doing, and start realizing that those benefits will be good not only to us but also to our loved ones, and as soon as you realize that you get liberated and can really soar and become the best person that you can be - Physically , Mentally and Spiritually. I just started my journey, and I plan to end it when God decides it's time for me to BRING IT up there with him. My Progress My Fitness Goal: Transformation Story

I received the whole set of Power 90, Power 90 Master Series 5-6 and P90X and thought "Well, I'll do Power 90 as prescribed, do the fitness test and If I'm still behind I'll do Master Series". To my surprise I was able to follow and exceed level 1-2 in just 3 weeks so I decided that after week 4 I will change to level 3-4, and I did. I challenged myself to try and repeat the procedure and to my surprise by week 8 I felt totally ready to move on to MS level 5-6. I think I underestimated myself at the beginning but by following the diet as strictly as possible I was able to shed the fat and keep a high energy level, so I was able to BRING IT consistently, I also never missed a workout (still to this day) so that and the positive attitude helped me accomplish this. At the end of week 12 I decided not to do week 13 and jump right into P90X. The first day was unreal, the workouts were amazing and I was pleased to see that Bobby was there - my goal buddy of Masters 5-6 - so I still got challenged to match him. Plyo, wow! the first day was sooooo hard but challenging - I promised myself to go with Dom by the end of round 1 and I did. I have never done Yoga before but I fell in love with it, it helped me relax, so does the Stretch - I even double the weight days with Stretch at night - amazing. Legs and back was also a killer workout. Little by little I started seeing my weight drop but not as fast as my caliper measurements - A nurse friend did the chest/thigh/ab measurements and verify the percentage on a PC program for better accuracy - and that confirmed that I was losing fat fast but increasing lean mass. In this program the diet is key, so I'm proud to say that 80 days into the program I only had a bout 4oz of Coca Cola and a fun size bag of m&m's on Halloween night because my kid wanted to share his candies with dad. This has been a life changing experience and I recommend it to everyone, no matter your appearance or age you too can change for the better and Tony Horton is the real deal, I've seen many ads and people that deliver nothing, but Tony Horton delivers 200%. I'm 40 years old and I used to dread that moment, now I'm anxious to see how I will look at 41 - 45 - 50. Now for 2008 I decided to challenge myself further and created my P365X+ EXPERIMENT. This is a program that combines the classic rotations of P90X and P90X+ in addition to a 6 month rotation mixing both programs to create a full year rotation. Here it is: I.
