i have been fat all my life. even pictures of when i was a kid i was always
overwieght. i have tried many many things. usually all with yo-yo effect. i
lost 100 pounds gained 125. two years ago i was 375 went down to 315
taking some pill over the counter and gained back to 360 now im floating
right at 355. i have taken meridian, phenn phenn, redux all to no avail. i
also have had gym memberships than lasted about 6 months. my main
problem is not combining the two. good healthy eathing and good physical
exercise. i was at the gym 4 times a week. on the treadmill for 45 minutes
at a time. by my caloric intake was probable 3500 plus. not for sure becuase
its difficult to count when you just keep gordging yourself.

My futur plans are simple. be alive to see my grandchildren. its difficult to
be a good husband good father good son a good brother or good anything
when your this overweight. i dont really have a desire to do much but sit in
front of the computer and play golf. but after 18 holes of golf my feet feel
crippled to the point to were it takes several days to recover.

I saw the p90x program on an infomercial and decided to check it out. found
this community of people and feel like i have found a home where people
care. it seams like a real tight nit community.

my goals are to change my eating habits and complete the p 90 program as
many times as it takes til i can start the p90x program. i need to lose about
180 lbs. i want to be fit for life not just a few months. this program has
everything i think is needed for me to succesfully lose weight and keep it off.

update.
through the help of beachbody i have a personal coach who is wonderful. i
have watched just about every thin kitchen episode and bought bookes and
educated myself on eating as much as i could. do to my work as a truck
driver it is impossible to complete 90 days however i have bought the 10
minute trainer which i try to work out with on my portable dvd player that i
take to work with me. i also have went from not being about to ride my bike
not even a half mile to being able to jog a full mile without stopping.

as of this writing i have lost 78 pounds and am loving to work out. i am on
track to reach my goal of 250 by christmas. thank you Tony Horton

update nov 1 2008 230 days into my journey. i have lost over 107 pounds so
far and can run 3 miles straight now. i am riding my bike 8 miles and barely
getting winded any more. i can chop a full cord and half of firewood with
little effort. i feel great and still heading in the right direction.
