Stuarts Draft, VA Greetings all! My name is Keith. I am 40 years old and live with my wife Coni (also a coach) and a whole mess of rescue cats in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. My roots are in the South (Alabama) but I grew up in Los Angeles. Four years ago, I decided to move to Virginia to pursue my lifelong interest in American history and I am now in the final stages of completing my doctoral Greetings all! My name is Keith. I’ve been dragging around extra weight for pretty much my whole life. In grade school, I was the pudgy kid - my mom bought all my clothes in the “husky” department. In high school, I never really tried out for sports, so I spent most of my time sitting around with my friends – usually with a pile of junk food at hand. My bad habits acquired during childhood only multiplied in adult life. I ate too much, drank too much, and smoked two packs a day. Not long ago, with my weight approaching 230, I found myself sitting in the bathtub with a donut in one hand and a beer in the other (sorry for the alarming visual)! I decided that some big changes were in order. I’ve since taken off nearly 50 pounds, quit smoking, and I can run close to thirteen miles. I’ve cut out junk food including my beloved ice cream and worked my way through Power 90 and P90X. Now, not only do I look and feel better but I sleep well and have more energy. After completing the programs, I continued rolling with P90X as part of my daily workout regimen. I've seen a lot of spots and sweat buckets, but I'm still losing inches on my waist and gaining on my chest, back and arms. Now I've completed P90X+ as well...next stop - doubles rotation - GRRRR - I have never worked so hard in my life but its worth it! As usual, I'll keep posting updates as things unfold.
In the meantime, through my travels around the country I can see that lots of folks could use some help and support. I am here to help you reach your goals. If we all push play together, whether taking on obesity, getting ripped, or just knocking off a few pounds, maybe we can really do something about America’s apparent health crisis.
