Until my 30th birthday I never had to worry about my weight. I was 5'8" and never fluctuated past 119 lbs. I could eat anything. And I did! While my friends were all dieting I was enjoying whatever I wanted. After 30, and the customary slowing down of metabolism, I put on some weight and settled in around 145 lbs. Still not bad given my height; I looked healthier and not so skinny. Every 10 years I've added more weight it seems. When I turned 50 I was up to 170 lbs but had a lot of muscle from working out and the physical nature of my job and home life. Then I had to have two surgeries. That put me down and greatly reduced my activity level. This past year I've regained my strength and health and will soon be back to my fighting weight! The biggest goal for me is reducing my body fat.
