I was always active in sports and working on a farm, but my diet was less to be desired. I would eat large portions and not balance it out with the right activity level.

When I was in my teens, I decided to change everything. It was not a smooth start at first because I was not aware of "healthy" diet foods. I would eat only once or twice a day and sometimes it would be empty calories. I would skip meals thinking I was helping myself, when I was only slowing my progress. I would eat fat free foods and be mortified if I ate anything over 7 grams of fat. I started reading magazines and learning to eat every few hours and it did wonders for my mood and energy level. I was working out to an early morning television show and also kickboxing after work. I kept it up and made it part of a lifestyle.

When I moved to a new city attend college, it took a whole new level of motivation. There was studying and work to be done and even though there was a gym nearby, it was still not the top of the list. I stopped by the local YMCA to apply for a job and they hired me as a group fitness instructor. I was very exicted and started my own aerobics class two nights a week. I achieved my own followers and helped them stay motivated in working out. I also used my free gym membership to learn about working out and motivate others.

Years later, I was starting to hit a plateau again when the exercises I was doing did not seem challenging enough and my motivation was down. I decided to try P90X after I saw it on TV. It looked like the perfect workout for me and it was! I have completed one round and also P90X + and one on one. I can vouch for the motivation beachbody programs and trainers can give you. You never get bored and continue to see amazing results. I decided to become a coach to help others with their goals and give them to motivation it takes to keep up the hard work! I have become the nutrition and fitness "go to" person for many friends and family. I have really enjoyed it and would love to share any knowledge that I have aquired over the years with anyone interested!
